Hi All I've been messing about with VCDS to delay the headlight washer activation time and while I couldn't seem to delay the headlight washer operation (think I changed the right setting but it didn't display function) I may have changed something accidentally. As it stands, when my headlight washers activate, they squirt for a few seconds, then pause, then do another quick squirt. Is this normal? I can't remember if they did this before I started messing about in vcds. Also, my headlight washers seem to squirt before my window washers! Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance

I had a bit of a play with mine on the way home. It doesn't seem to get stuck anywhere it just doesn't slip back into position as quickly as I lift my foot up if that makes sense. Means I get a "clunk" when I come off the clutch as it returns to position after my foot has left it. Wonder if I should take a trip to the dealers. It's certainly driving fine, just a bit annoying!

Hi All Done about 1,800 miles in the R now and love it. One thing I've noticed is that when I'm changing gear quickly, the clutch isn't the fastest to return to the up position (i.e. My foot comes up off the clutch before it's returned to it's start position). Is this Normal for an R? I've driven a few R56 Mini Cooper S that did this but I just wanted to check it's ok for the Golf? If it is normal, does anyone know why? Adam

Hi All Picked up my new R yesterday and loving it! However, I've noticed that my front windows don't drop all the way down when you use the one touch function. They stop about 1-1.5cm short of "All the way." They will go further if I press the button again, it just seems strange. Does anyone else's car do this and does anyone know why? Thanks

Received my 5a text this morning! It's a funny one as I was given different confirmed build weeks: Dealer & VWCS told me WK 36 Online Tracker & Email told me WK 37 Does this mean that the WK 36 was the actual week for build start or WK 37? I have no idea how long it takes to actually assemble an R! Note: Ordered: 29/01/2015

Something to consider if you haven't already... When I was looking at all the press pack photos of the Cadiz wheels, they seemed to look bigger than 18". I think this is down to non-UK cars having a 19" Cadiz option and the photos actually displaying the 19" wheels. I had the Cadiz on order based on the press pack photos but changed them to the Prets after being underwhelmed by the 18"s in the metal (That was on Lapiz Blue car rather though).
