Once I get it washed I'll get a few snaps. What a great car to drive, total enjoyment, just taking it out lunchtime for the pleasure of driving, forgotten how good it was to drive a petrol motor after it seems a lifetime in diesel motors.
hah I'm sure no one needs to see another picture of a Lapiz blue estate lol. Never had to do this before but when I went into the dealer showroom here is an estate shaped car under a cover and I had to pull it off, my mate videoed, jeez what a **** I was.
well that was wheeling and dealing over the past 3 days, after reading some posts of dreadful mileage and being a thief's magnet, bit the bullet and went for a year old golf r estate, let the good times roll, not quite sure when I'll be able to pick it up though lol, thank you for the feedback
cheers for the feedback, the diesel estates are off the shopping list. so down to petrol, but that R estate is an acquired taste, so R hatchback, small boot, Gti, slightly bigger boot, ticks a lot of boxes though, back to the franchise websites...
I was looking for the praises to be sung for the golf r estate but it became more the pros and cons for the 335d touring. I don't do high mileage anymore, I've got a diesel van for that, same reason I don't need a big boot but I think estates have nicer lines than hatchbacks or saloons, Although the 4 door coupes are nice you have to pay a premium for a 4 day coupe. noted about the 335ds coming to the end of leases I'm trying to get a good deal on one. But keep coming back to the golf r estate...I haven't read a single review in the motoring press that said get something else, yeah they say the Seat Cupra ST runs it close etc. Agreed about the BMW estates, everywhere. R estates do seem to be an acquired taste. S4s are nearly 10k more expensive for almost like performance and the 340i RWD, I like the confidence 4WD brings and the R's heldex system praises seem to be sung. So would I be right in saying for similar aged cars say 2016(66) Golf r estate would be more bang for buck than any other premium brand estate?
Jeez did I stumble on a pro BMW group? Thanks for the honesty though. I did look at that berry Heathrow. Serious discount. Nobody singing praises of Audi though. Still none the wiser though. Cheers
I'm looking to trade my A4 2.0tdi, why should I get the R estate over a BMW 335d or an Audi 272bhp. I was thinking of blowing the budget S4 avant, but that is blowing a budget I don't actually have and I can't see the justification in the price. I've been looking at the 4 door coupes too, but everything comes back to the R estate, If I get one am I'm going to regret it? How is the quality compared to Audi and BMW?
