Thanks. All useful info.
I do less than 10k miles a year. So hopefully 10 years..... At which point the business will be sold, the car will be paid off and I can either run it or trade it in for a 5 year old mondeo estate.....!!
Im a tax advisor for a living.......
The Company Car tax on golf R outweighs the savings on putting the expenses through the company. Its a common thing that people cant get their head round the fact that not putting something through the business can save money! 45p a mile for business miles comes tax free out of the company.
Exactly. The other thing is that depending on what is around I may pay slightly over the odds for my lease car as i know exactly what has happened to it! One year so far and absolutely no issues. I will obviously get the servicing done properly too.
I have an R Estate on personal contract hire lease. Pay 326 a month for 3 up front and 10k miles. 1 year into 3 year lease so this is a bit previous.....
Anyway i am getting fed up with leasing cars. I have leased for about the last 10 years. I have a business where i need an ok looking car.
Looking at lease rates now i can't see that when it comes up i am going to get anything as good. Another £1000 up front.
I am considering keeping it as the business will be sold in about 8 years so can then run a banger.
So if i buy it for 20k on a 7 year personal loan it will be say £250 a month.
Then when it is paid off it will be 10 years old.
What's the thoughts on running these cars until they are 15??!!!!!
