Hey all! didn’t expect to get so many replies haha, fuel economy sounds decent tbf! Anything over 30 is good for me so that’s a win win! As for the gearbox, i’ll probably go manual, just because I want to enjoy changing gears myself however reading these comments, a DSG is tempting, i’ll keep you all updated in around a month or so when I properly start looking. thanks everyone for the heads up!!

Hi everyone! I currently own a 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco 1.4 TSi (122) and i’m looking to upgrade to a 2017/2018 Volkswagen Golf 7.5R (310) with the 6-Speed Manual (cannot stand automatic’s and don’t really rate DSG tbh but hey ho!!). I’m just curious as to what the cruising RPM at 70mph is with the 6-Speed Manual as some people say it’s over 3000RPM yet some saying it’s around 2000RPM (can’t be screaming and have short gearing due to motorway use). The Scirocco I have no does it around 2400RPM so anywhere around there would be cool haha! Also, not that it matters (because why buy an R then?!) but what are people roughly getting MPG wise? Also, is there anything I should look out for? Positives and Negatives? Thank You
