Yes that is a big factor, but all that being good. A car with no spec doesn’t do anything for me

Hi guys and girls. So I could be looking at getting a golf R but I am not sure on what one. Looking at 2016 but saying that is the 2017 new shape (mk7.5) that much better? How is the dsg on these, are they problematic, I don’t mind the manual to be honest. Is there anything on the spec list as a must get? I love the lapiz blue colour, heated seats would be a must for me. I assume the engine is the same in both but slightly tweaked to give slightly more power?
