  1. Hi all, I have purchased a K&N intake (this one) for my mk7.5. So far, the intake is awesome, sounds amazing, however, I did not like the fact I had an oiled filter on it; oiled filters let through a bit more dirt than dry filters and there's always concern about the MAF being spoiled by oil (even if this is blown out of proportion..). This being said, to get the best of both worlds I swapped out the oiled filter that comes with the intake for an AEM DryFlow and I got the "Brute Force" version as it is best at capturing dust (it's intended for off-road, so it has the max filteration). I did a test drive and did not notice any difference in performance between either filter. Everything appears to be good. The origional filter is the K&N RC-9350: https://www.knfilters.com/air-filters/rc-9350-universal-clamp-on-air-filter The AEM DryFlow Brute Force filter is the : https://www.aemintakes.com/air-filters/21-202bf-os-aem-dryflow-air-filter My only concern is that the DryFlow may flow less cfm than the K&N and potentially rob the engine of power. From the links above, you can see that the DryFlow is about an inch in diameter bigger than the stock filter, but I'd like to know what CFM these suckers can pull and I'm finding that information impossible to find. This being said, what's your opinion on the swap, is it practical or am I missing something? TL;DR - Got K&N intake for mk7.5, swapped oiled K&N RC-9350 for AEM 21-202BF-OS DryFlow filter, is CFM going to be an issue or is there plenty of room to breath still? Lastly, does anyone have experience doing the oiled to dry swap?
