Did you lowered your car? I did, and i think the noise i come from the front shocks. When i turn the steeringwheel on low speed i can hear it.

I think i hear the same sound under my hood. I only hear it when i drive slowly till 20km/h. I dont know where it came from

They have the sleeves, but its only around the rings in the middle of the springs.

Last week i replaced the VWR springs with H&R springs, and the clunking noise is gone!! After removing the shocks from the car i saw some damage on the springs. I think the noise is coming from that place.

I had eibachs on my previous cars, comfort and ride is ok, maybe a little bit soft but ok. But the right front side of the car was higher then the left side, on both cars. (Bmw e46 coupe and golf 6) if you search on the net you will find a lot of topics about that. I have now VWR, but it make some £{%!~$*|!!}**|$ sound, so next week i will replace it with H&R, hope it will be better.

Weight doesnt matter the difference is 20kg between 3 and 5 doors, and iam not a heavy guy, Very strange. I hought VWR springs are ok, but it isn't. Now i always drive slow and becareful on bad roads, because i don't trust the springs I hope they will agree with the refund, or else it cost me €300

I have triple checked the springs, top mount, sway bar, end links etc etc. everything looks fine. When i drive over a little bump with 30km/h i hear a clunk. and if i drive over a bad road with a lot of holes then my car sounds like a old timer ;| When i enable the sport mode, then the sound is quieter. So i think the VWR springs still have a problem, the white rubber around the spring is a cheap solution what doesn't help. maybe the 5 doors is heavier so it make noise?

The noise is irritating me. So i contacted the dealer for refund, hope they will agree with it. And now i have ordered a new set of H&R. Hope this set will be quiet. And how is the ride of the H&R?

is it only when you drive slow? Or also on the highway?

Hmm i remember that the arrows on the top mounts pointed to the front and rear, maybe i need to turn it around to level the spring?

I have the latest batch with the white sleeves. So you guys didnt have this noise? Do you also have ACC? The noise sounds like the swaybar hitting the control arm or something like that. Some said to replace the swaybar end links, but i think this is not the problem. Maybe my install wasn't correct. But what is the correct order of install and tighten the bolts.

Hello, Last week ik have installed the VWR acc compatible springs on my R. After a few days i hear some noise at the front when i drive over a little bump. I double checked everything and tighten all bolts with the right nm. Did anyone have the same issue after lowering? What can be the issue?

Can you see the white on your car? Is it on the same location as te picture?

Did someone allready replaced the VWR springs for the newer version? What is the difference? Today i got mine and i see a white hose in the middle of the spring, is this the modification? Or do i need to remove this?
