It appears they use a device through the letter box to pull the handle down - disengaging 4 of the 5 locks then they simply inserted something to unlock the final latch.

Our house was broken into as we were sleeping upstairs. Keys were taken for both my wife's Kia and my 1yr old Oryz White R!!! How I didn't wake up in time I'll never know - must have been tired. I had gap insurance which is a relief but the whole thing has left me a little worried about replacing. My initial thought was - I hope it's not found and I'll get another one or maybe even an RS3. Now I think is that a good idea - maybe buy a slower less obvious vehicle. Makes me mad that this sort of thing is making me question my love of performance vehicles!!!

Picked up my new R on Saturday. Oryx White - will post pics once the weather is better. So far I'm hugely impressed with it and think it looks great. Unfortunately so do some local toe rags who my wife spotted on our drive peering through the window and then back later knocking on our door to see if anyone was in. Needless to say this incident has taken the shine of getting the car!

Got my '6' text this morning. Sods law the car will probably be ready next weekend (7th) when i'm away ! Still...almost there and to be fair considering I ordered end Nov its been pretty swift compared to some on here.

Had my 5b on Monday...now radio silence. BW7.

Thanks for the replies so far, I'm swaying towards white. Just not sure if Oryx is worth the cash?

All White (Pure & Oryx) owners. I've currently a DPB on order but have been wavering, first to Blue and now to White. I've had a black Ed30 before and it looked great (when clean). Having never owned a white car my queries are; 1. Is Oryx much better than Pure White? Noticiable difference or only under showroom lights? 2. Is white worse than black to keep clean (i'm guessing yes) - is it horrendous to live with? 3. Is everyone happy with white? Would you change if choice came again? to what? Sorry for the mastermind style topic of white

Which Beadles are we talking about - the Bromley one? My wife had issues with her Polo also some time back. The Sevenoaks one I've had both my Ed 30 and 35 serviced there and a wiring loom replacement with no issues. Tight though as they wouldn't give any discount on the R so have ordered through Inchape Swindon.

I've just ordered my R in DBP (5 door with prets). Had the Ed30 in black and liked that. Now i,m thinking about LSG - currently have the Ed35 in steel grey - I'm assuming LSG is pretty much the same??

Eventually went with the following spec, no built week confirmed as yet: 5dr DSG Black Pearl Prets V Leather Nav KE Rear Cam Now for some reason I'm really liking the red after seeing pictures on here !!

Hi All First post on here. I'm just about to push the button on an order and I'm having a last minute re-think. Current order is: 5dr DSG Lapis Prets V Leather Nav KE Rear Cam My two issues are DSG vs manual. I've got a manual ED35 at the moment and tests drove the DSG R but as with these things it was a little short to really win me over. Don't know whether manual will be more engaging?! Also Lapiz vs White - my ED35 is grey so want to change from that however nice it was, black I'm not sure on the R and although red is nice I'm worried as it's a soft colour. By Monday I'll be ordering. Alex
