  1. I've just switched from the Golf R to a Cupra 290 & on that the mirrors do not automatically fold in - you have to hold the lock button down for a few seconds they then fold in. (option in settings on display has to be set to on for folding mirrors when parking) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I emailed VWFS who confirmed that yes I could VT the agreement, so I asked for more info. Confirmed the 50% rule so to VT my car (2 payments of £290 left, approx £250 on excess mileage to pay, refurb of wheel & valet) would cost over £6k!! Why even suggest it if it costs £5k more than just handing it back. May have to look at private sale to see if that saves me any cash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Found it strange that she would promote it as I said seemed to good to be true Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Had an interesting conversation with VWFS earlier today. I was calling to see when my PCP ended and what I needed to do if I was just wanting to hand the car back. Background -!My GFV is around £21700 and WBAC are currently offering around £21500 (black DSG 12k miles 64 plate) I was told trade in on a new R would be around £22k ish but the salesman was a knob and so didn't want to deal with him. I have ordered the Seat Leon Cupra 290 Black so was thinking of buying the R & doing a private sale or just handing back to save hassle. Anyway as I would have around £200 - £300 in excess mileage & it has a kerbed alloy & an ink stain on rear seat. I was planning on getting these sorted before handing back/selling. In conversation today customer service operator said I could return the car as a Voluntary Termination before the last payment goes out & not have to pay the excess mileage & condition of car would not be inspected. Whilst this would be marked as a VT on credit file it would not adversely effect credit file and I would be able to get finance from them in the future. This would save me a few hundred quid but all seems to good to be true & why would a VWFS person suggest this if it's making less money for the company. Anyone had this scenario before? Just to add I'm not in financial difficulty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
