So, I've had my 8R for 2 months now. Absolutely loving it, but the lane guidance is doing my head in. It's steered me towards a hedge, a pothole and a cyclist once to often, so I reckon an OBD eleven is called for. Is the OBD11 the best way ahead? Are there alternatives that are better, or at least worth consideration? Having had a look, am I right in thinking the "Pro Pack" with the NextGen device and the PRO VAG plan is the option to go for? As a secondary question: those of you who have used it, what other functions and changes have you found beneficial? As always; thanks in advance. Cheers, Dave

Specced the front and rear UTR on my 8R. I’ve been using it for a few days now and gradually getting my head around how it and the app work. Wondering if any of the boffins on here can help with this if they have the UTR or a similar unit? Picture attached is screenshot of a downloaded clip. Any ideas what the numbers and coloured lines are below it? Thanks, Dave

So picked it up on Friday. Ordered August ‘21. For those of you who are still waiting, HOLD ON. It’s absolutely worth the wait. Previous car was a 2018 7.5 and the difference is MASSIVE: refinement, comfort, performance have progressed miles. So much flatter in the corners and yet suspension crashes so much less on the bumps. As for the controversial infotainment system: calm down dear! I’ve heard it described as the change from a Nokia 3210 to an iPhone and I’d completely agree. Take your time and set it up how you want. Use it, get used to it and it’s excellent. The fuss with the steering wheel is a crock too. Capacitive buttons rather than actual ones: no biggie. You still click them just the same. Overall, so far I’m absolutely delighted and have already forgotten I had to wait so long. Lapiz, 19” Black Estorils, DCC, HK, UTR (front & rear), winter pack (front)

Picked up Friday afternoon, after the detailer had worked his magic on Thursday. Haven’t stopped grinning since!

My car’s on the studio ten detailing Instagram story. Full ceramic detail today. Collect tomorrow. So excited I could burst!😂🤣

Got the call from the dealer today and got a cancellation at the detailer on Thursday. Maybe have it for the weekend. Woo Hoo!

Got the same email from my dealer yesterday too. Out of interest, went onto Google maps for the satellite image of Emden. The car park is HUGE! Car could be there for ages too 😢

Should have spotted that from the picture. They’ve made the usual European mistake of putting the steering wheel on the wrong side 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

How did you organise the black mirrors? I’ve specced the black wheels but couldn’t seem to find a black mirrors box to tick

Ordered 19/8/21. Last news was “confirmed build date, week 15” which was last week but heard nothing so far 🙄.

According to VW UK site, standard airbags are driver and front passenger plus curtain and side airbags in front with centre airbag. Rear side airbags are a £360 option. When I placed my order (Aug '21) side airbags were optional extras front AND rear

When I ordered, front and rear side curtain airbags were a £340 option. Now it’s just rears on the option list and it’s £360 🤔 Forgot to mention the black Estorils (edited now), otherwise she’s similar indeed

Allows you to use your phone as a key. Thought it would be quite cool and convenient but the more I’ve read, the less I’ve cared about it and to be honest, removing it from the spec isn’t a big deal. I’ll put the money towards the ceramic coating instead! 😂
