Having watched the first two episodes of Series 2 I have to say that the boys are on form, and seem to have settled into the formula that was so successful on the old TG. The productions are more expensive but the undoubted chemistry/bickering between the trio is still the main draw. The way that Hammond's near death experience in Episode 1 was handled was nothing short of brilliant. Ok, some of the scenes are staged (as they were on TG) but still cleverly done. Life in the old dogs yet, it seems. Just highlights how bad the new TG is. I read recently that the beeb have retained the same line up for 2018. Big mistake.
