issues with screen

my mk7 golf r is having problems with the screen it will show this message

"App-Connect"

You can activate the function by means of an activation key.

Please contact your dealer.

and then shut off completely tried resetting it and disconnecting the battery but nothing seems to work any help would be appreciated(it’s depressing driving in silence ahahahah)

Hmm........... I'm aware that this is your first post in this place - but think about your objective and ask yourself the question "how can I best succeed in getting my wants - meaning how can I get informed responses (or any replies, at all)?"

 

Hopefully it's obvious that the answer to this question is information. It's an unarguable fact that there is a direct relationship between the quality/volume of the information provided in a forum post seeking help and the quality/number of responses to that post.

 

So, as written, we have been given 2 x pieces of information: this is a Golf R mk7 and we know your observation on the MIB screen. With absolutely no offense intended - this ain't much!!

 

At the very least, please provide the back story for this fault, tell us the build year for this car and what country this is (it matters).

 

Again, the more information provided in a forum post and the more accurate the data - the greater becomes our understanding of the problem and the more likely success will be!

 

So, I suggest empathetically -  do yourself a favor, please!😉
