Flamemaker

Just got my R delivered last week and clocked up about 900 so far. What a machine this is. All those 'it's just a golf' mob are talking out of their backsides. This is a remarkable piece of kit. Blasting round the A roads of North Yorkshire that were made for this car was amazing. A colleague said what's it like to drive? I said imagine you are the big rock in one of those ancient trebuchets being flung towards the horizon and you'll be close. Let me know next time you want a review. I'd be happy to contribute.

This was explained to me the other day. Basically you can't have it. Vw panicked because of new regs which I won't go into but the only way you can get it is at the original order date and you have to take the full maintenance pack as well at £20/month. Move on with your life and don't give it another thought,it's pure fiction. Sorry.

Built last week. Apparently now in transit. I'm going to guess 3 weeks to go. Ordered about 12/10/14. Not too bothered about the wait as running around in a ka sport which is a bit like the proper mini Cooper anyway, am I about right on delivery time?

5dr tornado red manual on order for March 2015. Got a silly deal on a 2yr at £204 a month plus £2k down all Inc vat and admin fees Would have preferred lap blue and dsg but they wouldn't budge on + £59 a month which I didn't think was good value. Hope these are as good as they sound. I have a 21 yr old import crx del sol vti which has never let me down and I'm hating the thought of letting go. All good things come to an end eventually...
