Good day all, I have recently picked up my 2016 Reflex Silver R with Tech package. The car is quite simply amazing. Although in Canada we don't get a few key things on ours that I'm trying to add to the car. I want to add automatic folding mirrors to the car, and since it's done by a few people in the States that's a great sign. My main concern is if I purchase the folding mirror kit many are offering, will they continue to work with my blind spot monitoring system that my car is equipped with? Will simple coding suffice, or is there another set of mirrors that would be specific to the driver assistance package? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The circulating heater came standard on my TDI, I imagine it will with the R, but not holding my breath.

Thanks for the welcome!! When I don't drive my work truck, I have been commuting in a MKVI Golf Wagon with Driver's gear springs and winter tires on the factory rims. Aside from the Panzer plate I had on the oil pan, that car could push through just about anything our winters could throw at it. Was very impressed with the TDi. So I have little doubt that the R with a good set of winter tires and a sump guard will be nothing short of a riot here in the winter!!

Wow, they're already backordered. I guess if I purchase them now, they'll be here by the time the car gets here.

It's been a fairly mild this winter so far. Only recently dipping into the -36 range. Not a lot of snow overall either. Just this past weekend, we were driving around in conditions like this; But thankfully, we aren't as bad we were a couple winters ago. This was the #1 highway; So as you can see my choice between a GTI and a R was made even easier.

Just dropping in to say hi to everyone. Just finallized the spec on my car. 2016 Golf R - DSG, Reflex Silver, Tech pack. Probably won't be here until August so I'm going to have to live vicariously through everyone here. Can't wait to have this car!!
