  1. To be honest I've only done hundred miles or so but was always ready to take the big hit on fuel consumption. I'm hoping once I force myself to take it out of Race Mode (if that's possible!) it might not be too bad. I'm sure whatever mpg I get, it'll be worth it.
  2. Cheers for that, thought I was missing a trick. I have to say, I thought the GTD was a good car until I drove the R, what a car !
  3. I've just changed to a manual R from a GTD and was expecting the handbrake to come on automatically when I undid my seatbelt. I'm pretty sure this was the case on the GTD and I don't ever remember having to set it up that way when I first got it. Any tips on how to set this up or have I just dreamt it ? Cheers in advance.
  4. It's a manual. Only driven it for an hour so far so can't wait to take it out tomorrow to try it out.
  5. Cheers for the info, I'm taking it out tomorrow for a decent run so will have a play around then.
  6. Hi, I'm a newbie on here but joined due to the fact I've just taken delivery of a new R, having had an MK7 GTD for the last two years. Took it out for the first time and immediately loved the noise from the engine and exhaust but soon realised the delivery driver had been driving it in Race Mode (can't blame I suppose). I don't really want to drive in race mode all the time so I was wondering if any of you good folks know of a way you can drive it in Normal Mode but still keep the engine/exhaust note as per the Race Mode.(I'm too lazy to read the manual). Cheers in advance.
