  1. So after a bit of playing, it doesn't do it while stationary with or without the engine running. I can make it happen loudly if I crawl along in first or second gear and jab the throttle a bit it sounds like this is happening: https://youtu.be/jiTGzRLb84E I think Ill book it in to be looked at, it sounds way too loud to be normal, I'll try to get a video of it tomorrow.
  2. I have a brand new manual R that has about 220 miles on the clock. when driving slowly in car parks etc or when i change lower gears (usually 1st and 2nd) i hear a clunk noise from what i think is the clutch. it also happens when i press on the clutch as well as release it. has anyone had a similar issue?
  3. thanks for the suggestions. Lepsons does look very good from what i can see, however it would be a good 8 hour round trip for me so a bit too far. ive seen revive-uk mentioned on an older post so im waiting a quote back from them to see what they say, along with The Wheel Specialist who have been mentioned above. thankfully its only a light scuff but its round most of the circumference of the wheel.
  4. As the title says, my wife curbed a wheel on my 4 day old R. I want to get it fixed as well as I can so I was wondering if VW do a good job of wheel repairs? Otherwise could anyone recommend a good place in the Midlands area for wheel repair? I'm based around dudley
  5. Ive only had my R a few days so its a bit too early to tell. I had it mainly for active lane assist but i do quite a bit of motorway driving. had chance to use dynamic light assist last night on a few country lanes, high beam is handy and so is the cornering lights. ill come back to you in a few days to let you know if its worth it!
  6. Even though it says that it is included with cars in the UK in the owners manual, no, im afraid its not included in the UK spec cars. Just today however i've enabled it through VCDS and it works perfectly.
  7. Has anyone had any experience with cancelling an order that came from drive the deal? Their T's & C's say that you get charged £500 from them if you cancel an order, which leaves me in a pretty bad position when talking to VW about the situation.
