Hey everyone, you may of saw the post i made not to long ago where i was torn between the r and the mk2 rs,after a lot of thought ive decided to go for the golf! Now...not just yet but soon ill be looking to find one to purchase, all i want is a dsg in either blue or white and under 25k miles...so the question is, how much am i looking for this? Just deletes the resonator in the exhaust so makes it a bit louder

I'll admit the scirroco r is a lovely looking car i see one regularly by me in white and it does stand out more than the golf

I hear the res delete is pretty much the first thing to do. What about the otteinger spoiler or do people think its just to over priced?

That is one of my worries ill be honest,especially with me living close to Birmingham and insurance isnt cheap that's for sure lol what made you choose the scirocco over the golf and how do you find the dsg?

That's good to know, makes me lean more towards the golf in all honesty. Plus there's the attractiveness of the 4wd

The one thing there worries me is the dsg going which is a big bill! What have you lot done to spruce up the looks of your golf? Also i know how capable the car is 0-60 but how does it fair in gear?

Thats the thing for me, the rs looks more agressive but i cant think of anything else the rs holds over the golf. I currently have a fiesta st and feel like the rs isnt gonna feel to much faster, has anyone gone from a fiesta st to a golf r?

Hey everyone i know this is a golf r forum so obviously there's going to be a bit of bias but as the title suggests im torn between the two, the rs looks the part for me but the golf has the refinement and the speed. If i was to get the r i would get the dsg, how many cars have problems with the gearbox as I'm aware if anything goes wrong its a big bill
