Hello Basically I have a 64 plate manual R. Its the updated turbo model from that year. Ive had the car nearly 3 years and this has never happened, so I don't put it down to human error (at least for now) I was doing some spirited driving the other day and changing gear from 3rd to 4th. As soon as I changed the car felt like it just missed the gear and it didn't feel right. Almost like it didn't make it into 4th, to which I stopped accelerating straight away and changed back down. I didn't think to much of it, and just thought I messed up. But today the same thing happened. Traveling at high revs/high speed, changing 3rd to 4th. I pull the stick down into where 4th is and the car just completely slows down. (I believe there was a thud sound or something) But the car completely slows down and I have to change back to 3rd. I have no idea about the engine/gear/clutch. But has anything like this happened to anyone in here? Driving normally it's totally fine, or changing at high revs in lower gears. Thanks

Hey Anyone got reccomendations where to get a milltek exhaust fitted around Birmingham, preferably north Brum. Also how much does it roughly cost just for the fitting? Thanks

Forgot to add, sometimes I have to go to work at 5am in the morning. With the Milltek valved system, on startup is it fairly same to the stock system? Thanks

Hey All I have a 64 plate manual golf r, which I'll be remapping at unicorn. Stage 1 is enough for me (I hope I don't get the itch to go to Stage 2 at least anyway) However all I want is a golf that bangs and pops, is that achieveable with stage 1 and a upgraded exhaust? Any reccomendations with exhausts that can do that? I was learning towards milltek non res /valved black circle tips. Has anyone got a photo of the black circle tips on the lapiz blue? I've dechromed mine so think it would look really mean with some big black tips at that back! Thanks very much!

yeh, couldn't find any black side badges for sale anywhere.

Love this car, had to dechrome it though. Front chrome peices, badges and the wing mirrors. Also did the side r badges. Came out really nice. Car is very dirty though. Wheels will be done soon, can't decide if to go matte or gloss black. Do you reckon matte wheels would look strange against all the gloss?

Hey, I have just brought a mk 7 golf r in blue. It has the standard 18inch wheels. I Just wondered if anyone had changed the wheel colour and if you could show me a photo. If anyone has black or grey that would be great thanks
