Thanks all for the feedback. Much appreciated. The Nav in the second screen I cannot stop. I have set it as Audio and also AVG MPG but whatever I have there, as soon as the Navigation starts it is replaced by map directions, so cannot see Audio or MPG etc. Very strange. I'll look into it further. Thanks again for your help.

Hi all. Just picked up the car and compared to the mk8, things are a bit different. Sorry if these have been asked before, had a search of the forum and couldn't see anything. Is the Navigation screen no longer showing on the driver dash? It doesn't come up as an option when pressing the "View" button. The car mileage is not showing anywhere now, just in the Vehicle data screen? On the mk8 it was shown when the ACC was deactivated. Not so on the mk8.5? On the driver dash, left hand secondary screen the Navigation always takes over whether VW, Android Auto or Car Play? Any way of stopping that? Between the main screen, this and the heads up display there is no escaping the directions Thanks for any help. David

We'll see.

Android Auto and Waze I have the same issue. It really does not like roundabouts on the HUD. The main screen is fine but the HUD is not happy when a roundabout is involved. Google Maps works fine but not Waze. No idea if it’s a VW or Waze issue, but is a pain.

Just got an over the air update to 1896 and the rear view camera is no longer working. This has failed before and a software update fixed it. Back to the garage again. This is ridiculous. I hope this is not repeated every time there is an update.

I am afraid that is what happens. Wireless charging seems to be hit and miss after some time. Any lengthy drive I have given up with it and plug the phone it so that it charges. Even when the wireless charging works it holds the original charge at best when being used for music and/or maps.

For information I have just got the car back and it needed a software update to fix, related to a TPI. I was on software version 1890 and now on 1896 and the camera is working again.

Just got exactly the same. Can’t hear the motor kicking in to raise the handle. I have it booked in to be investigated on Wednesday. Sounds like a mechanical issue. Frustrating.

Hi there, The option is available when you press the button on the end of the stalk for the driving assists. Limiter is an option there, just tick it 😀

Hi there, I bought the dynamic replacement hub caps and they fitted my Estoril alloys perfectly. They are sized as inside 53mm and outside 65mm. Hope that helps. Seems to be a standard VW size.

I ordered mine from LLLParts. It has the C designation at the end and fits the car just fine. Good luck and gets rid of that nasty looking gap.

I have had the car a week now. I can’t believe how inaccurate the speed limit detection is. I haven’t had the kph/mph issues but simply driving along the motorway in the inside lane the number of times I am told I am speeding as I pass an exit with a 30mph sign instead of the 70mph speed limit I am observing. There is no way to confidently use ACC and speed control without being ready to cause an accident. So many other errors with the speed detection around non motorway driving as well. If I am missing something please let me know, but all looks fine to me and set up to drive on the left and ACC is happy to pass on the right, but not the left. Thanks for sharing issues in here which has helped since I got the car.

After finally getting my car last week after ordering a year ago, thanks to the suggestions in this topic I ordered the warning triangle, to fill in the rather large gap in the boot lid. Also bought the Lockwood sill protectors, sadly not R logo but a more general R line type pattern. Still looks better and more protective than the paint. I also ordered the reversible luggage compartment mat (part number 5H0061210) which is ideal for me to protect the boot and the top of the rear bumper when loading/unloading particularly the golf clubs. Thanks for the recommendations.

Hi there. Using AA and Discover Pro Nav the directions (Google Maps or Waze) are available in the drivers dash on the right side panel. Only the VW Nav can take over the full drivers dash. You can have speed in the centre and directions in the right circle. Any other questions send me a PM and I can check to keep this out the new car delivery discussion 😀

Tried to edit my post but just to confirm Waze also works in the same way. If anyone is looking at ordering a car I would tick the HUD option without hesitation. Good luck with the deliveries. I know how frustrating it can be.

Hi there, Yes, it puts up next junction, directions and distance using Google Maps. Haven’t tried Waze yet.

Ordered 30th March 2021 delivered 18th March 2022. All standard and optional equipment intact 🙂 Just driven it home and need to dive in further in the options but so far so good and the HUD is brilliant. So pleased I ordered that. AA fully integrated. Fingers crossed for those still waiting.

I ordered 30th March 2021 and just been told it has been built. No delivery date as yet, waiting for shipping etc. Just glad that it looks like I am finally getting somewhere. 😀

I ordered 30th March - still no confirmed build date. I am just hoping it arrives before a year is up, but who knows. At least the value of my 7.5 has kept strong which eases the pain a bit.

I ordered at the end of March. Just been updated to say the build week is now in January. Can’t say I am overly confident of that date either. Looking like a 22 plate lol. My existing 7.5 is lasting a lot longer than expected.

I ordered at the end of March. No confirmed build date as yet. I think it is option specific looking at the replies in this thread. When I ordered I was quoted September, now it is looking more like January, but nothing is guaranteed.
