Hi guys does anyone run an APR stage 3 in this country as I have been talking to APR USA and they say they pulled the project and the trials. I have spoken with Awsome GTI and they don’t support it there was one car that was around but seems it’s been written off now so if anyone here in th3 UK is running an APR STAGE 3 I would be interested in catching up cheers steve

Hi guys my next conversion is to make my mk7 into a mk7.5 the first thing is the virtual cockpit has anyone fitted this themselves as I am aware I need to pay someone to code it. I have made contact with Alex on here so that’s in order question 1 what is needed to fit it, i was told I need a fibre optic cable so I bought that. Can I fit it prior to get it coding anyone tell me how to fit it question 2 i have an 8” aftermarket head unit that still has all the VW functions but has satnav as an option do I keep this or should I go with the latest head unit but I have been told it’s difficult to code. ?? Just want ant to make sure it all works seamless cheers in advance

Thanks for the info yes as per my info above I have updated the fuel pumps. If if you have any details on these cars that you say are blowing engines I would be interested to see this. The only info I have found is a couple of people have had oil starvation with Garret turbos. I may may be wrong. Also the APR stage 3 kit it’s supported in the UK due to some emissions so needs to have bespoke mapping, so needs to be toned down For safety

Hi guys anyone out there who has done this before as I am in need of a little help please I have a mk7 golf R and it was stagec2 running 400 now I have just bought a full stage 3 APR kit off a garage that had a written off car it came with the Borge turbo and all the pipes including the little wiring harnesses etc to I set to fit it all, i have an APR intercooler and a sports cat with downpipe also have a Miltek rear section etc i currently have a coolant leak on leak on the rear of the block under the turbo so need to drop the subframe again as I thought it was all fixed when I start it it tends to splutter etc for a bit then it settles Down but if you drive it it runs really rough I have a low pressure pump upgrade and just fitted a HPFP kit from Vis motorsport but not sure if it’s right. Anyway it obviously needs another remap but has anyone got experience of fitting all this and any advice cheers Steve

Told you it’s all a myth it’s like if you by a car and they said it you put your fit down at the lights every time you pulled away you was only “allowed’ to do it 100 times then you had no warranty. All Corsa drivers in the 20,s age bracket would be screwed lol no offence to 20 year olds the Golf R would be worthless on the second hand market and they are far from it. Someone would find find a hack to clear the counter anyway

Hi guys I am looking at fitting an intercooler to my golf r but not sure what to do do I fit a full front mount or for ease a second one that fits under the cash bar, I think they call it a twin cooler but I have adaptive cruise control so it might not fit just need some ideas what other people have done

Tried it I disconnected the motors from the exhaust and checked to see if they would operate but no the car had a performance exhaust fitted when I got the car with the valves tucked up out the way so don’t know how they have been coded just want my standard exhaust to work work like it should

Hi guys I think I have the similar issue but I just can’t get mine to do anything I have taken them off and refitted them coded them but no luck I want to be able to use then

That’s a myth apparently spoke to a mapper today and he has never had the need to reset a DSG gearbox so it would launch again

Hi mate thanks for the quick response but the motors are sealed and when you put 12v on them they move ok and the exhaust is new and the flaps move freely I think it’s some coding but not sure just had a stage 2 and we couldn’t get them to open on tn3 dyno

Hi guys been doing some research and trying to get my exhaust flaps to work I had a straight pipe exhaust fitted but now for sale too loud for me I fitted a new standard exhaust and bolted up the tucked away flapper motors but they don’t do anything i have pressed the race race mode and even checked it when it was on a Dino and the valves tail pipes are still cold so any ideas as I have used OBD eleven to deactivate and reactivate the flaps but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything i just want to be able to have working flaps cheers steve

Ok going to try and explain this one I bought my car 15 model golf r with a sporty exhaust and some coding done including the joker or pace car rear indicators only had it a few days and noticed the rear passenger inner indicator has stopped working so phoned the dealer and they had it for two days couldn’t fix it as apparently it had been coded in German they did say the rear light was faulty but when they fitted it the drivers side came on too, so they fitted the old one back on and said come back next week. Anyway in the meantime I bought a new inner cluster and when the hazards are on all is great but indicate left and the inner left doesn’t come on indicate right and the right hand comes on as it should but so does the left side inner. Is this coding ?? Or is it a dodgy wire in the tailgate. I have Obd eleven to try stuff but new at this i want to fix it as taking it to the dealer is painful

I know I was quoted around 900 for a one stop solution but it will give it a go failing that I will reach out for help I am new at this but can’t find your advertisement for the bezel steve ps did you fit and do the CP stuff yourself ?

Yes I am just gathering all the bits I can and all the info will have a look at th3 classifieds section thanks I need the par5 numbers for the mib2 pro I believe seat versions are much cheaper but will need firmware updates but I think all of them will need some flashing cheers

Anyone want to swap exhausts I have a cat back loud as hell DKU Performance exhaust with no boxes and it’s very loud I need something toned down a bit unless I get a resonator box fitted as it looks really nice but sounds very loud I am in the north west

Cool yes that’s the ones I will purchase the OBD11 as everyone seems to swear by it I have a copy of VCDS but been told it’s a fake ;( cheers

Hi guys been doing some research and want Apple car play in my car or a satnav function so I have decided to get a bigger screen 8” on the way and a different unit for the glove box. (This is the tricky bit) i don’t really know what unit to get and been speaking to the guy on eBay that does retro fitting and he has a complete setup for sale but it’s a bit expensive but I know it’s been coded etc so so if anyone has instructions or done this before and anyone has a spare unit for the glove box let me know and I will purchase it I do like a challenge but also don’t want to waste money I also need a proper VCDS apparently, I have one but it’s a fake
