  1. Interesting, mine's due its 12 month service end of Feb, did they tell you it had a TPI on the vehicle when you booked the service or did you have to tell them to check for it?
  2. same goes for popping it in neutral quickly, i think you used to be able to do that on VW DSGs by pulling both paddles at the same time, doesnt appear to work in the 8.5!
  3. Here's another one, is it possible to put the 8.5 into manual mode, without actually changing gear? Obviously pulling a paddle will put it into manual mode but sometimes i want to put it into manual without it actually changing down or changing up, depending on circumstance ðŸĪŠ
  4. Yup, first time my did the emergency braking i thought id hit another car! Turns out i was miles away
  5. The interior sound to "eco" would be different to race mode, assume that would have interior sound in "race", which does sound pretty fake at the best of times
  6. Anyone know if it's possible to adjust the parking sensor sensitivity at all? They are so much more sensitive than my Mk7.5 Golf or my I30n, multiple times now they've engaged the auto emergency braking while I've been backing into a space, even with plenty of room behind/besides the car! Also can you adjust the volume of the "click" noise you get when pressing the haptic steering wheel buttons? The volume of the noise goes up with the volume of whatever you are listening to, so if you've had to turn up a very quiet audiobook, or something the clicks are painfully loud when doing anything on the steering wheel 😂
  7. I'm going to borrow my mates OBD11 and i'll try and give it a scan when it happens again!
  8. Just had mine lock out again on the way home, hadn't pressed any steering wheel buttons (or the infotainment screen) for 20+ minutes before it happened. Was driving in manual mode, driving mode in race, it denied me a down shift from M6 to M5 then switched itself immediately to S6 and wouldnt let me use the paddles any more. Pulled in and filmed another quick video showing it changing up a gear itself in sport but refusing to let me change up or down with paddles - https://photos.app.goo.gl/n9xVrE6PitfVk84s8 Will send it to my dealer shortly (they've already had a similar previous video off me) and see what they say!
  9. Well that's me never doing a software update then...
  10. And because its super hard to tell which setting is which in those photos... Driving Modes: - Eco - Comfort - Sport - Race - Individual Individual Options: DCC: - 15 settings Steering: - Comfort - Sport - Race Drive: - Eco - Comfort - Sport - Sport+ (ðŸĪŠ) Exterior Engine Sound: - Comfort - Sport - Race Interior Engine Sound: - Eco - Comfort - Sport - Race ACC: - Eco - Comfort - Sport Light Assist: - Comfort - Sport Hardware Version: H10 Software version: 2632
  11. Standard 18s for me, software version to follow...
  12. I did also buy the official PP spoiler by itself and fit it, but theres no way the car knows that and has decided to give me Sport+ as a reward because of it 😂
  13. yup I'm UK based and definitely no other driving modes other than Comfort, Eco, Sport, Race and custom
  14. Yup, no drift or nurburg. Definetly didn't pay for a PP car as well!
  15. Well I'm very confused 😂 Can confirm though mine does not change up in manual S+ if you hit the limiter! Just bounces off
  16. Yup, non PP. Haven't tried bouncing off the limiter in manual yet though 😂 I'll let you know in the morning!
  17. Under "drive" when choosing options for individual mode for me
  18. Haven't got the uprated sound system in mine so I cant tell you sadly!
  19. Little update on mine - been driving mine with the back seats down for the last week or so for work reasons and there is definitely more exhaust noise internally with them down, but its still more of a "thud thud thud" from the exhaust on overrun when i'd expect pops and bangs. Not sure how it sounds from the outside, may have to strap the gopro to the boot and see. Also, if I do an "emotional start" with the car already warmed up, I will sometimes get a proper pop or crackle out of the exhaust, but I'm usually hearing that at standstill with the door or window open so it's not really a comparison to driving. Again probably need to film it from outside and inside to compare but i'll do that in the work carpark to avoid p*ssing off my neighbours 😂
  20. Mines not PP or BE, just a "standard" R, and yes i can set the gearbox to Sport+ using individual mode
  21. Had the issue in mine; Country - UK Week your car was built - BW2 2025 (i believe) Number of times you have experienced the issue in your car - Twice (4th March 25 & 7th April 25) Date you reported the paddle issue to your dealership (if applicable) - 4th March by email (3 days after collection) and 7th April by email Name of dealership / VW franchise - Marshalls Letchworth Current status of the issue with your dealer (if applicable) - Dealer has asked me to bring the car in for them to look at, haven't had time to arrange yet Do you have evidence of the issue, e.g video etc - Video of 2nd time it happened here (April 7th), car in R mode showing paddles not responding to input https://photos.app.goo.gl/xdN1BJ53bRCEXz519 (Filmed in a private car park not on the road! 😂) Any other information you feel is pertinent; Details of what I was doing before the 2nd event below, not sure if any of it is relevant; - Driving in individual mode with the gearbox set to S+, changed gears using the paddles, so the gearbox changed to M+. Drove 10+ miles like this fine on the motorway. - Stopped at traffic lights after coming off the motorway, held the right paddle to go back into automatic S+ mode. - Pulled off, car changed up from S+1 to S+2 automatically, pulled the right paddle to manually change up (as it likes to rev really high before changing up itself in S+), but nothing happened when I pulled the paddle multiple times. - Switched back to R mode (so gearbox in S), drove the rest of the way to work, car changing gear itself fine. Still couldn't change up or down manually using the paddles.
