  1. Picked up a mk6 recently with a decent amount of work done to it by the prior owner, with the stock K04 on it. Haven't pulled the tune yet (Integrated Engineering custom). Looking at the logs though I see requested boost at 2420-2840mbar and actual boost at 1980-2780mbar while on throttle / coming off throttle (up shifting). This seems... excessive. Intervention is set to 1200mbar in the logs. Couple notes: The upper PCV hose is collapsing under vacuum, replacing tomorrow. Also going to replace the N75 PCV assembly. Likelihood that these two issues are contributing to over-boost? Would over-boost cause failure of the N80? Had a minor RPM hunt this morning upon cold start, temps around ~65*F, which went away after the car warmed up. Have also been experiencing a fuel smell upon start / after sitting in the car for a bit. After pulling out and driving down the road I then got the gas-cap dash light. Checked and the cap was on tight. Have read that this could be N80 Failure, so I'm replacing that today or tomorrow. Next is to test would be the waste gate itself, which I'm beginning to suspect is the main issue here so if anyone has a good guide or suggestions for how to test the waste gate while it's on the car, plus gaining access to the turbo while it's on the car to test for shaft play (if this is even possible) I would be incredibly grateful.
