  1. Having problems getting my contacts visible. Standard (non pro) system. Android phone (work Samsung) and when I import contacts only ten appear. Have deleted phone and reinstalled but no joy. Phone has ironkey secure apps, but two directories that are linked. Anyone got any ideas how I can sync all contacts? Probably just a stupid set up error by me, any help appreciated
  2. I usually use a Spigen Stealth mount for my phone, so I can have it on the dashboard in the far right corner... out of the way but still easily visible without taking my eyes off the road. I'll be getting delivery of an R Estate in a few weeks, and want to put my Spigen mount in so I can use it for Waze etc. Won't be using it for music, but will probably connect with wifi/Bluetooth for calls & Guide-inform (if it turns out to be any good). So I'll only need to be charging the phone, won't need a data connection. I dislike wires running all over the place so want to route a wire from the USB up to the top right of the dashboard. Is it fairly easy to route a wire out of the back of the centre console behind the usb port and route it up to the top corner? Anyone else tried it? Alternatively I could tap into a switched live on the fuse box and route from there, but that seems like a pain in the arse when the USB port will do the job and is closer.
  3. In the closing stages of spec'ing out my Golf 5, and I'm not too sure about all the mobile connectivity stuff and wonder if this hugely entertaining & informative group can help. (I've been enjoying this forum for the last couple of weeks!) I'm often on the motorway and on the phone so need to make sure there is a good connection and easy to be heard and hear - as well as easy to make calls safely. Dealers seems think the Car-Net App-Connect is a good idea, but not sure how practical it will actually be. Also, does the Advanced Telephone Connection make a difference in poor reception areas. Oh and Mirror Link anyone? (I'm an iPhone rather than an Android) Keen for your views My spec is likely to be: 5 door DSG Night Blue Metallic paint Standard 18" wheels Vienna Leather Keyless Entry Tech Pack (which seems a cheaper option than Pro Nav, and includes the Dynaudio speakers) & then possibly something to make the phone more connected and work better Thanks
