As per title does anyone have a MIB2 (not 2.5) and a working USB armrest and USB by gearstick that works with CarPlay. Just awaiting the USB upgrade for the by gear knob but wondering if it will do both. I had to change the coding from USB with iPhone to USB without in the mean time to get both USB's to work again.

Hi everyone, I picked up my new R last week and absolutely love it! Just one (slightly boring) question...does anyone know if a dual USB adaptor will allow me to connect my iphone to apple carplay/charge the phone and to play music (from USB) at the same time? If not, is it better to play music from an SD card? Thanks, Rob

I have pro nav in my Golf R 7.5 with an NFTS formatted USB drive, storing all my flac music files. Great news that flac files play fine now, but problem is the artist folder listing shows twice for every folder? music plays fine, and only single folders show when plugged into the laptop, any ideas how to get rid of the 'duplicates'?

I usually use a Spigen Stealth mount for my phone, so I can have it on the dashboard in the far right corner... out of the way but still easily visible without taking my eyes off the road. I'll be getting delivery of an R Estate in a few weeks, and want to put my Spigen mount in so I can use it for Waze etc. Won't be using it for music, but will probably connect with wifi/Bluetooth for calls & Guide-inform (if it turns out to be any good). So I'll only need to be charging the phone, won't need a data connection. I dislike wires running all over the place so want to route a wire from the USB up to the top right of the dashboard. Is it fairly easy to route a wire out of the back of the centre console behind the usb port and route it up to the top corner? Anyone else tried it? Alternatively I could tap into a switched live on the fuse box and route from there, but that seems like a pain in the arse when the USB port will do the job and is closer.

I should be collecting my car from Newcastle next month and I'll be using my iPhone's satnav to navigate home, using a mount to fix it on to the dash. I believe the supplied MDI lightening cable is not long enough to charge a phone on the dashboard so I will need to buy and take some sort of extension. What are the options available and what do people find works best?
