slider09
Does anyone know of a test drive policy which insures the policyholder for an hour which covers the full value of the car for sale? Is there such a thing? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Deano
There’s lots of companies that offer temporary insurance. Minimum is usually 24 hours, and it is normally expensive for what it is. slider09

Decided to sell my car, obviously don’t want any test pilots driving it on their third party cover.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When selling my BMW a few years ago I asked my insurer if they could offer a temporary cover for a test drive. The response, which included a barely stifled laugh, suggested that I must be joking. I think the only safe and realistic answer is a flat no, with the best offer being a passenger ride. If the potential buyer really wants to assess the model, rather than just checking out the actual car, send them to a dealer for a test drive, where they'll probably get an hour or two.
