Just coming towards 2000 miles on the clock and average MPG is 24.6. This car is to be enjoyed!

Decided to unplug my valves this afternoon to see how it sounds. However, all I succeeded in achieving was some very sore fingers! Is there a special technique to getting the plugs off? I didn't want to use brute force and end up with broken connections!! It looks like the nearside needs to be pulled out towards the nearside, whereas the offside needs to be pulled out backwards? Is there a retaining clip which needs to be pressed or something? Any hints/tips/photos would be gratefully received

I only got about a third of a tank of fuel - not vPower either. As I'm leasing it was the fleet department I dealt with - I don't think they offer the same "bells and whistles" as you would get from the retail sales people

Thanks for the confirmation. Is there a simple guide to modding the car so that all flaps are permanently open?

And we definitely need to be in gearbox "S" for all 4 flaps to be open? I feel like they should be open in Race + D

I can certainly tell the car is "louder" in S mode, as the revs noticeably increase when moving from D to S. However are the flaps definitely not all open when driving in Race + D? The trouble I find with S mode is that it holds 2nd gear too much when cruising around town, so I often drop it back into D. But does that mean the exhaust flaps are closing? If so, I might need to understand how to do this mod to keep them open...

Can anyone clarify for me please? For my new unmodified DSG 7R, what rules do I need to follow to ensure all exhaust flaps are open? Are they all open every time I select Race Mode? Or do I also need to select "S" mode on the DSG box? Thanks
