  1. The same night that they took my cars, they also targeted another house and took a civic type R & a 17 plate focus RS.

    Stolen R

They came through the back door, which was locked but had a cat flap, police said they have seen this before where they have some sort of tool like a litter picker that can turn the keys on the inside... cheeky buggers also too the key off the key ring and hung the house keys back up 🤔 I think if I have another R I will try the ghost immobiliser, I've heard some good things about them. Next month I was going to buy cctv as well, it wouldn't of caught them but any slight deterrent always helps 👌🏼 Now its it's a waiting game to see if they recover the cars.

I paid cash for it, I think gap insurance is for finance or pcp? Could be wrong though 🙈 - I'm hoping I get what I paid for it or as close as possible. I'm not to fussed the cars have gone, they can be replaced!

    Stolen R

It was stolen from Bolton, police said it's unlikely it will be found... amazing! Does anyone know what happens with insurance either paying or do they replace the car? My insurance is with eSure and when I rang up this morning the guy was a t@at - they are ringing me back tomorrow to go through a claim process or something (he was very unhelpful)

    Stolen R

Woke up this morning and both my cars had been stolen. They came into the house in the middle of the night and took the car keys for my black golf R and my Audi A3. Literally had the R 5 months!!! It was good whilst it lasted 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
  6. If it is the clutch, the car is still under warranty with VW, any ideas if it would be covered?
  7. Any thoughts? I'm not sure how to show the video in the forum without downloading it.
  8. I've managed to record this issue, you can see & hear the revs remain between the 5-6 mark & at this point my foot is fully off the clutch and on the accelerator only, It's not until I let my foot off the accelerator that the revs settle back down and i'm able to pull away again. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. (I did have ESC SPORT mode switched on at the time but this still happens when ESC is fully switched on) File 14-07-2017, 23 13 08.mov
  9. Yes it is manual, the car is still with in VW warranty till October, is this something that would be covered under warranty if it turned out to be the clutch? Anyway, I will try that clutch slip technique and see if anything happens. I will also try to get a video of it happening so I can show this to VW.
  10. Hi guys, I think I might have an issue with my 2014 R.. when I put my foot down and really push it, in between gear shifts the revs almost 'stick' and don't come back down, they will stay at 5-6000 rpm. If I let off the accelerator when this happens the revs catch up and the car is operating normal again. So my question is, Is this a clutch issue? I've had VW test drive it and they didn't find any issues, yet I'm getting this issue when I push the cars limits. Any advice would be helpful.
  11. Hi guys, I'm testing driving a Golf R tomorrow, I was initially looking at a MK6 R but i've seen this one for £1k more than i budgeted for. Is there anything that i should be looking out for on the MK7 R? http://www.amcmotorcoltd.co.uk/used-cars/volkswagen-golf-2-0-tsi-r-hatchback-4motion-5dr-birmingham-201704114309288?at_source=autotrader&at_medium=desktop&at_campaign=website-visit&_ga=1.221647005.443459503.1457633088 Anyone been or heard about this dealership before? Thanks in advance.
