  2. disconnect from the battery......simple and effective.......
  3. debadged and subtle for me :-)...no need to shout ;-) and saw an audi the other day....with a 2.0tdi badge and matching RS5 badge!!! lol
  4. haha,,,,I had wheels and springs 6 weeks before the car landed :-)
  5. mine was done by a very very experienced master tech and close friend....I have complete faith in his understanding of these cars. Ask the FB mechanics to justify their comments :-) as in what are the consequences? :-) Me? I just love not having stop start :-)
  6. slider09, any thoughts on what else it is used for?
  7. thanks dude :-) was the thin one I couldn't work out!!! cheers :-)
  8. not long discovered the very last few millimetres of the accelerator pedal travel :-) heheheheeeeeee its ace :-) and found out how to make the screen dials smaller when the map is up :-) not vey useful but just the sort of thing that makes me smile damn what an ace car
  9. Sonus Der Wunder......last for years if looked after and I have never found anything to beat them :-)
  10. hhhmmmmm......changing from Cadiz will make a huge difference imo. I love the prets but went down the 18" OZ route.........plenty of choice out there :-)
  11. ah well, mines still unplugged and (not) working just fine!!
  12. thats strange....so it works for some and not others???
  13. lol, only just realised my thread title should read 'without' recoding!........and Ive no idea how to edit it!!!
  14. check your usb lead matey......mine did that with a cheap lead
  15. Hi, I have put ultraleggera's onto the R :-) and need locking wheel bolts. The bolts I have for the OZ are 35mm thread length which go into the hub thread by 15mm. I can get 39mm mcguards but am unsure whether that additional 4mm will foul anything in the hub. My question is, does anybody know the depth of thread in the hub at all please? I hope this makes sense! thanks :-)
  16. no error messages, nothing. I have a very good friend who is a master tech at VW and a bit of a car genius too........he did it without me knowing! Its a simple little plug and if he tells me that its only there to inform the start stop function then I absolutely trust him.
  17. Ive found a simple way to disable to start stop without affecting anything else :-) much much better
  18. Took delivery of my FL estate last week and blimey what a car. Im old(ish) and Ive had quite a few cars in my time, and am genuinely wondering what else you could ever need in a car??? Ive seen 38mpg on a long journey and smiled silly smiles in race mode. I love the noise. I love how it looks. I love the quality. I love the practicality. Only downside?? finger prints on the display.......but hey.......I can live with that :-)
  19. i hope this isn't a repeat..Ive searched and don't think it is...... ....but an easy trick to permanently disable the very annoying start stop thing is to unplug the little connector thing that sits on the battery :-) (its connected on the left hand side of the battery closest to the bulk head). Its the sensor that monitors a battery condition for the function, and if its not connected it defaults to off :-) works a treat :-)
