  1. I’ll be sure to have a look, thanks a lot for the help!
  2. Thanks I appreciate the help! I’ll double check the prices over and see which is best and leave the disks alone as I’ll be getting 4 new tyres fairly soon. Going for Michelin PS4 as I’ve read a lot of good things on here about them.
  3. Thanks! I’ve compared and ECP seems to be £100 for the pads where GSF comes out at £55 which sounds very cheap. If they are okay and equally as good as OEM I will order them. Can you advise if I should also change the disks now which don’t seem to look too worn?
  4. https://www.gsfcarparts.com/642vg1454 i see these Brembo ones are a great price with 69% off. Would these be of good quaility?
  5. Do they sell the same brands such as Brembo/Pagid?
  6. Can anyone advise if it’s worth taking this offer with half price on brakes? https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Golf_2.0_2015/p/car-parts/regular-service/car-service-parts/brake-pads/?10144195A&1&8310c23f2ae6731b7eac9ba4fb8239a5959f7265&000036 If so which exact pads for the front?
  7. I do like the look of those with the vinyl and I thought about doing something like that myself but my white worm has got really bad and I don’t believe there is an easy fix other than a full refurb
  8. Love the look of these! My Cadiz alloys have quickly developed white worm over the winter and I’m looking at getting them painted. My R is LSG and I’m not sure what colour to go as having them diamond cut again is not my preferred option!
  9. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and I must admit the pads were very good when I got the car and I would be happy to have them again. I just didn’t know if I would be better off going for some alternative branded ones for cheaper or better quality.
  10. I see what you mean about different wear rates, maybe it was a silly question only I can know the answer to!
  11. Thanks, are these better than the standard VW pads?
  12. P.S my R had new pads on August 2017, and I have covered approximately 15k miles in that time. Can anyone advise if the brake wear is excessive?
  13. I’m in need of some new brake pads for the front and I am hoping somebody can help as I’m clueless as to what will be a good choice. It’s due for service in 3 months so I was hoping to get it done before then as I assume I can get better pads for the price VW will charge me. How long do the disks last? I may even need new disks. The brakes are pretty rusty now and unsightly is I may even consider a full upgrade if the price isn’t too much.
  14. Any advice on the best way to clean the chrome tips would be much appreciated and also advice on just general cleaning products because I can’t modify my R so keeping it in good condition is all I aim to do!
  15. Thought it’s about time I joined a forum to help me out with the little problems I have mainly with the detailing! As you can see my exhausts have never been cleaned and now it seems like a problem!
