Hi all. Im from a wee village called Bready in Northern Ireland. Most probably never heard of it! I’m New to the golf R what a fantastic car! Actually can’t believe insurance company has allowed me to get this at 22 years old! And it’s actually cheaper than my mk6 GTD! Haven’t had the chance to push car to limits but boy she can travel. Will take a bit of getting used to on corners, like to see how well it sticks to road before I get comfortable but so far seems to be doing well. First proper wash and polish this evening. Hopefully be many more to come. Interest in subtle mods so open to opinion. Think a rear spoiler will set it off well.

Same story here. Times I’m scared to touch the door. Read up on it on other sites and they suggest clipping a drag wire underneath the car to let any static drain away into roads but not convinced it would work

Take it this happens? I don’t mind it but they are bloody sore haha!

Hi everyone, have my mk7r a wet week and I’m getting pretty serious static shocks of the body work. Anyone have this problem? Mainly happens after I’ve taken it a drive. Never had this happen on my mk6GTD or any previous cars. Anything take this away?
