I ordered the 18th of November and my dealer had no problem ordering the 3DR. So you ordered a 5DR ?

I totally agree the 3DR is the sportier looking variant I’ve also gone for a 3DR which I’m currently awaiting. i look forward to seeing them both lined up next to each other on cleaning day lol

Looks mint 👌🏾 Nice to see someone going for a 3DR as most go for a 5DR. Your mates looks great also and will be a rare sight now as white silver has been discountiued. Enjoy

Thats not Gloucester unfortunately.

Meant My 18 apologies. My 19 information isn’t on there just yet. But in regards to ordering the options were DSG 5DR/3DR and 3DR Manual last time I checked may had changed recently tho.

On VW Sales iPad it states you can only order a Golf R My 19 in Manual and no longer DSG. But when i ordered my 3DR DSG the VW system allowed me to order the 3DR DSG and last time i checked you could still order a 3DR DSG on the system as much as some people on here have said you can no longer order a 3DR Golf R. I think different dealers give different information tbh as my dealer has not stopped taking Golf R orders at all where as it seems from being on here that some are getting told they could not even order.

The banked cars have now been released there will be no more further testing with those cars once in transit. Customers should be looking at 4 weeks from now for cars to land at dealerships.

For us there will be no longer delays as wltp has all cleared on golf R. my dealer hasn’t stopped taking orders at all and never did but I’ve seen on here some dealers have stopped taking orders. i also changed my spec on my car but before my build week was confirmed and changed colour and added pan roof and akrapovic exhaust. the Gti cleared what feels like ages ago now and my dealer has been getting them in for weeks. so R will be next as all banked cars were released today so looking at 4 weeks to at dealer from when they depart factory. its great news for everyone that the cars are all getting released.

You will be one of the luckier ones in terms of waiting as you only just ordered in December and all the WLTP stuff with the golf R is just getting finalised and finished where as people who ordered in June it was different story back then. I ordered the 18/11/18 and my car is being built on week (9) 25th of feb. A car is built in 1 week and it takes 4 weeks from when the car is built to be delivered to the customer. I will be looking at late March delivery. Yours being built Week 6 should be with you early/mid march.

I feel bad for the people who ordered in the early part of last year as they are the ones that are really suffering with waiting so long to think people who ordered in June 18 are being told March delivery. I Ordred in November have since changed my order and added more spec and my car is being built on the 25/02/19 and should be looking at delivery mid march. Let’s just hope all of our cars land asap
