  1. Hi, anyone else had issues with SatNav not recording the correct location on a 2017 mk7? Infuriating when the nav system can get me travelling at ninety degrees to my actual direction, and be anything up to 8 miles out. When I was trying to factory reset the damned thing, I found a "view satellites" option which showed "satellites 0/0", so I am assuming that means it can see zero and has lock on zero. Thing is, sometimes it seems to work, and no matter how I try, I cannot for the life of me find the menu option to "view satellites" again (and yes, checked the manual, again and again). other problems seem to be very slow to navigate, often telling me to turn just after a junction as it struggles to keep up with location. Another clue is the dash car data showing "no location data to display". Thing is, every time I go to the dealers it starts working again, and this is doing my head in. Previous car was an Audi A6 and that satnav drove me to the point of trading the car for this R. Am I just in the Bermuda Triangle of West Yorkshire?
  2. Hahaha, I have no doubt mine will be used in a similar manner, @aniseedvan. I used to get away with using the Wife's Kia for that, but I have a boot liner on order to help with keeping the interior clean. I'll just have to make sure mines parked on the drive first so its easier to use the Kia. Been reading some of the scary stories about bumper thefts, and when I pick mine up, I'll be investigating security bolts and some sort of visual locking deterrent, may have to wait a month before the Ghost Immobiliser gets fitted.
  3. Hi All, new to the forums, but you have me worried about this. I shall be parking with the front bumper against something solid until I can confirm the size of screws to replace with security ones. Also, I'll buy at least three types of security screws and mix them on each side just to make it even more difficult for the little scroats, and investigate the chain and lock idea. Btw, anyone suffered from rear bumpers or mirrors as well, or is it largely the front bumpers?
  4. Spec is straight up standard, no sunroof, cloth interior, discover nav, winter pack, mirror pack, convenience pack. dealer threw in full tank of fuel and new front tyres when I started walking out of the shop, and came right down on the finance; I think they just wanted it gone at this time of year. It's only done 15k, so just worn in. Tell me, do the hatches sound as good as the estate? farts and pops galore in Race mode, and I was surprised how there was a complete absence of any tug on the steering under hard acceleration. Previous cars have been Celica GT4, Fiat Coupe 20V turbo, and A6 3L Quattro saloon, so I'm not new to the performance game, I was just taken by the whole driving experience in the R. Honestly I couldn't have lived with that boot space in the hatch though, so the hearse was my obvious way in. Track days may be next on my "to-do" :o)
  5. Hi All, just purchased 2017 Mk7 estate in white and subsequently joined in the fun here at vwroc. Looking forward to fun in the R, after chopping a 3litre A-line A6 Quattro. One test-drive is all all it took to get me smitten, lol
  6. Hi, just purchased white R estate exactly because of the pathetic boot on the hatch. Previous car was an A6 saloon you could almost sleep in the boot it was massive so couldn't quite justify the hatch. I know the estates aren't as highly thought of but same wheelbase beats the Audi turning circle by a metre and a half, lol. Looking forward to having a bit more fun in the R
