  1. Yep, I was thinking the same. Well I will be loosing around 1000-1500€ when I sell the car and I won't be having a car anymore, but it was a good (costly) lesson for me . Next time I'll read and look into more details online when buying a another car.
  2. The thing is parts doesn't cost that much but changing them cost more. Mechanics in my area take 500-750€ for changing the flywheel and clutch pack. Clutch pack and flywheel don't cost that much. I can get a new clutch pack for 250€ and flywheel for 350€. So I think it would be pointless to put used parts while mechanics charge around 700€ to change the parts.
  3. What do you guys suggest, should I change the flywheel and clutch pack if they are worn and couse it to slip? Or should I sell the car? If I sell the car I will lose around 1000-1500€ cuz it is really hard to sell the car the same price you bought it. So I'm thinking that actually changing the flywheel and clutch pack would be a good idea cuz I will lose around 1500€ if I sell the car anyeay so why shouldn't I use that money to change the flywheel and clutch pack? Still unsure what to do 😕
  4. Unfortunately no, I didn't get a warranty.
  5. Actually last owner didn't change the DSG oil. I checked the service manual and last time it was changed was at 150k km. Service manual says every 60k km DSG oil should be changed so I was actually surprised that after almost 95k km the DSG oil was still in good condition when I changed it at 245k km. Okay, I haven't tried riding it on a long steep hill so I'm gonna try that. Yes, 1700€ for new flywheel, clutch pack and change. I can get the flywheel and clutch pack changed for 1100-1300€ if I buy the parts myself and give them to the mechanic. If the clutch pack is worn, will there be any error codes indicating that?
  6. It's a octavia with 1.6 tdi engine. I'm taking the car to the Skoda dealership in my area to inspect the car and see if there is truly a problem with DSG or not. I changed the DSG oil the same day I bought the car. I remember the oil that came out of the gearbox was really clear and didn't smell burnt. So I know the oil is good and it's not the problem. I'm guessing I might need to change the flywheel and clutch pack but changing them costs around 1700€. I'm not sure if I would want to change them cuz I bought the car for 5000€.
  7. Yes dsg7 in octavia 2010
  8. From 4 to 5 still slips but it's soo little that it is really hard to recognize it while it does it. It is 7 speed DSG7 and 2010.
  9. I bought a used car with an automatic transmission (DSG) a few days ago. It has 245k km on it. Today while driving I realized that DSG seems to be slipping when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. It revs a bit higher before shifting. It revs like 100-300rpm higher and then shifts. I also hear it from the engine when it revs higher. I tested the DSG in M mode and it shifts perfectly without revving Higher than expected. What could possibly be cousing this? Here is a video while it does it: https://imgur.com/gallery/gB1fPcn
