Coming from an Audi I never had this on my previous car, CarPlay worked flawless. I have noticed the VW system to be rather buggy at times. At the moment I find CarPlay is unusable as find myself having to keep flicking out of CarPlay then back in then 2 - 5 mins later same problem again whether its Waze or any other CarPlay app does the same.

Yep exactly that, if I go back to home screen on the Discover Navigation then go back into Apple CarPlay it's fine for about 2 - 5 mins then that happens again.

Has anyone else encountered graphic issues with Apple CarPlay on the Discover Navigation, with mine I noticed the colours mess up and graphics stutters particularly when using maps etc. The normal system is fine its almost like the standard Discover navigation can't handle the processing power.

I ended up getting a used Golf R with 4,000 miles not via a VW dealer so was bit cheaper, it has the options I need including HK. It doesn't have Discover Pro but I am not so bothered by that will just use Apple CarPlay and Waze.

Thanks for the comparison, doesnt warrant the extra cost in my opinion.

Whats the difference between Discover and Discover Pro Navigation?

I am considering changing the mirror caps on my Golf R when I take delivery next week, just wondering if there is a fitting guide for vehicles with side assist. Has anyone bought the carbon ones or just black?

I am starting the process to find a used Golf 8 R, I do enjoy my tunes in the car, I note that new Golf R cannot be ordered with Harmon Kardon, and many used vehicles don't have it either. Whats the standard audio system like? I am used to Audi having B&O or Bose.
