Hi all I ordered a Golf R in early August - can't wait! I've gone for 5 door, DSG, Pure White with the optional 90% tint. Wish I'd also bolted on App-Connect but apparently it's too late now! Bit of an upgrade from my current Fiesta Zetec S with 125ps... however you only live once and I've always dreamt of getting an awesome car as soon as possible! Looking forward to contributing to the forums! Cheers Andy

Hi guys, This is my first time posting on the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong section! Been checking out the members rides page for a while now so thought it was about time I signed up! I placed an order for a Pure White, 3 door, DSG Golf R back in February of this year - the only other extras I added were 19" Pretorias and the ProNav. Since that time I have had no movement on the order tracker (still at stage 2) and my dealer has been less than helpful to say the least. Whenever I call they tell me that there is another delay on my order - they have never given an exact reason but I'm told it is 'most likely the alloys because all other cars with standard 18" Cadiz alloys are coming through fine' Has anyone else experienced this? I've looked at the thread with all the Golf R orders and most seem to be delivered around the 6 month mark. I'm being told by my dealer I'll be lucky to get mine by October/November (9 month wait)!! Any information would be great, thanks!
