Hi all, New member with a Lapiz (of course) blue MK7.5 DSG! Love this car to death, having a great time with it, however I've noticed one potential issue three times now. When I'm WOT accelerating in 2nd and tap the paddle to shift to 3rd the car has shifted to 3rd and then immediately shifted to 4th on its own! I was under the impression that while in Race mode with Manual shifting engaged the DSG would only shift on its own at redline, or when coming to a stop and you're in too high a gear. Is there any other conditions that cause the DSG to perform an automated shift while in Manual shifting mode? The first time this happened I put it down to myself tapping the paddle to upshift at the same time I hit redline, that would explain the car automatically shifting from 2nd to 3rd and then the paddle tap making it go to 4th; however, the other two times this occured I am certain I tapped the paddle for the upshift around 6K rpm (safely before redline). Has anyone else experienced this before? Or does this appear to be an issue with the new DQ301 gearbox? Thanks kindly, glad to be on the forums! -
Hi all, just picked up my MK7 facelift R and I’m loving it so far! At the stage now where I’m just seeing what happens in different modes and I noticed that when in Eco all the gears show with an E infront of the gear numbers. However I’ve noticed if you leave the car in Eco and turn off the engine then turn the engine back on again the gears now show with a D infront of them even though the car is still in Eco when you go into modes? To get E to show again I have to press the mode button until it gets back to Eco. Forgive me if I’m being stupid but is this normal and if so can anybody explain why this happens? Thanks

My lapiz 5 door DSG car seems to have developed a fault where driver profile selections (the mode button) has stopped working. When i press mode, the light comes on for about 1 second and goes off again. It doesn't bring up the modes on the screen to select them there either. It seems to make no difference to the driving mode when pressed. I think it's stuck on normal. I think this is due to the keys being re-programmed after the theft. The button isn't stuck, it does press down...but seems to electronically "ignore" the signal. the menus to adjust the individual settings have also disappeared! Anyone had anything similar?

Morning, Thought I would let you guys know that there is a Straightliners event up here in Cumbria this weekend. Its a normal RWYB 1/4 event. Great for anyone in the Northwest as everywhere else is miles away, certainly from anyone like me in Cumbria. Its on an old airfield and often gets a nice array of cars there. Can be quiet so you get loads of runs if you want. After all these Vags own the 1/4mile strip. Ill be running my mapped M5 if weather is dry enough...
