colin who did you get your car mapped by and where?

Had fun with a Megane 265 today, pulled alongside after he pulled into inside lane on the 2 lanes of racetrack and he floored it, did the same and the R just breezed past, he tucked in behind me coming up to a roundabout, also on said racetrack and as it was wet he understeered and couldnt get the power down and the R just scampered away, got a flash of lights though which was good sporting behaviour :-)

Yep sorry i didnt flash back on Sunday at Elliot, I noticed at the last minute and tried to wave mate lol

lucky you, rather than rebond then they are ordering moer but none in uk so a germany order 2 weeks and when i offered to superglue them until then as the passenger side is almost off he said no problem Mr Ross bring your car in and we will remove them until the new ones arrive....... needless to say that was declined and ive spot fixed it for now. bit of a joke tbf

I felt a sense of irony earlier. I always thought it would take me ages to get used to not having a proper handbrake. As it turns out it wasnt that long as I got out our mondeo and walked away to see it slowly start to move off on the slope. Luckily I was nowhere near anyone but the issues with jumping out of one and into the other. Had to smile about it after....bloody nana I am.

mines due in tomorrow to get the spoiler side bits sorted, they are saying its the heat melting the glue but on a 30k car its a poor show espescially after under 4 weeks of ownership

Seen it again today, pissing with rain but i still put the window down to hear it pull away, as jeremy clarkson would say "i had a crisis" lol just looks like a work of art and sounds phenomenal possibly beating my current favourite sounding car which was the Aston DBS.

To come back to my original post Im actually liking them now , just never had them b4 so it was a little weird driving with them on although i do still think you should be able to turn them off if you want to.

Only irritating thing about launch control is when I put foot fully on brake the engine goes off due to stop start. I'm only in week 2 so bare with me, how do I stop and do a lc start without the stop start kicking in and causing me to have to tsp the accelerator.

[spoil][/spoil] Yup, drag is crucial. I bet those much-maligned plastic "wings" between the rear spoiler and the hatch might be good for 3-5mph on the top end! It's amazing how quickly a car decelerates from 140+ once you lift off the throttle. Unless they get sheared off their doublesided sticky tape mountings by the wind lol

I have the keyless option. As long as you have your keys on your person all you do is hand in the handle and it recognised the key, opens the door then you get in , DSG is foot on the brake and press the shiney button. Not sure the manual method, id imagine it would be similar, on my mondeo you have to have the foot on the clutch before it starts. :-)

BMW 435i was shown a clean pair of heels tonight, only person to tease me into dropping the right foot down. He booted it in front of me and I just kept with him until he pulled over and then went past him easy enough. Damn I love this car!
