Most performance pads have a lovely squeaky noise usually worse the hotter they get part of the comedy value of sounding like a old double decker bus.

Depends how slow you drive I guess I never get even 30 on a decent run but I'm having fun and never bought it to worry about fuel.

This does not help your choice at all but I have a DBP R and a Night blue passat alltrack and it pains to say it but the blue when the sun hits it looks even better than the DBP. My friend owns a limestone grey R and gets lots of compliments as it's not often seen in that colour. As said looks the dogs in the sun but a bit beige in normal light.

My friend has a new style E63 with nearly 800bhp and is crazy fast.
