Hi all, Have my 7.5R a couple of months now and it's done just over 1500 miles. In the last couple of days, it has developed a grinding/groaning noise from the front end when turning at parking speeds. Only comes on when close to full lock on both sides but it's pretty irritating nonetheless! Is this a common issue or should I be headed for the dealers? Steering also seems to feel a bit heavier and more inert in race mode in recent days, although that could just be the noise-induced paranoia! Cheers!

Hi all, just wondering whether anyone on here has picked up their 181 mk7.5 yet. A mate picked up his new 1.5 R-Line over the weekend and the dealer fessed up that Car-net had been accidentally omitted from a batch of 50 Irish cars, including his (it's supposed to come as part of the Innovation Pack, if specc'd). Picked up my R a couple of weeks ago and ashamed to admit that I haven't even checked that it has Car-net installed (been too busy driving the thing!). How do you know whether Car-net has been installed? Going by a google image search, it should appear as an icon on the infotainment menu and there should also be an "SOS" call button in the roof panel. Not too worried about missing out on it (apparently the functionality is pretty limited in Ireland) but it was specced and really should be on the car. Also, my buddy is being offered a pretty sweet compensation package to make up for it...

Nice one, cheers Graham. I'll give them a try. That'd be a good bit cheaper than the main dealer offering. Yeah, happy with how the spec turned out. I think the tints and black mirrors complement the new trim on the 7.5 nicely.

Cheers, mate and congrats on your order also. Red 3-dr will definitely stand out nicely on Irish roads. You'll be counting down the hours and minutes til it arrives! I specced the 90% rear tints when ordering (comes 65% as standard, I think).

Hi all, picked up the new wheels on Saturday...few crappy garage photos for now until I have time to give it a proper clean after the weekend! Loving R ownership so far. Resisting the temptation to give it the beans during run-in is proving tricky 😅 Incidentally, does anyone know whether GAP insurance is available on the open market in Ireland? Considering doing it through the main dealers but if there's a cheaper option out there I'd like to know! Cheers!
