You could try changing the throttle pedal response using OBDeleven, from Standard to Responsive. But you need an obd dongle and app downloaded on your phone. Or as has been said, a Pedal Box.

That's really bad. I know how you feel. I ordered September 21, with HK. Original ebd was April 22, then August, then October, then December week 50, then week 5 2023, and yesterday checked with JCB and it's week 7. I was within millimetres of cancelling recently and buying an M240i but overall I'd rather wait for the R. Maybe it will have that big screen that's been recently photo'd out testing in Germany! I think the worst of the wait is over now...... (I hope)

Received this yesterday: Your order today isn’t currently showing an estimated unconfirmed build week, the factory are making model year changes, this happens around the half way point in the year, during the second half of the year the factory will be building vehicles to 2023 model year, looking at the Golfs we have on order some are waiting for the factory to progress across to 2023 model year, yours has, but is waiting for the factory to progress back into an estimated build week. So you are aware Harman Kardon was removed from ordering for new orders on 16th March (your order has this as it was ordered before then), VW UK said: To help reduce the impact the semi-conductor restrictions are having on lead time, the options that are most affected will be removed from ordering from Wednesday 16 March. Existing orders with the affected combinations continue to face delays. It sounds like orders with the sound system may take longer to come through.

Mine's moved back 3 weeks from 41 to 38, so a tiny step in the right direction!

It will come with HK fitted if originally ordered. Confirmed by the PA to the VW UK CEO. The date they announced that HK would not be available on orders is from that date of the announcement. So relax man, everything is cool. I'm relaxed and I have HK ordered, September 2021 and I know for a fact its going to be present 👍🙂😴

The sill guards are completely gone unfortunately. I got them on Ali Exp for £32. The strike plate covers look nice quality, once I actually get the car I'll see if I'll use them. They're easy to find on Aliexp & come in different colours too. I bought a few bits out of boredom while waiting patiently for the car. Tyre valve caps I will use, probably the black ones 😉

Yes, the tracker will be coming back, unknown when exactly. It was originally stopped because it became unreliable with information during Covid. VW do intend to have it up and running again as soon as possible. Not my words, but rather from the Executive Office of the PA to the CEO of VW UK whom I recently spoke to 👍

Me too. Always have to email Medway monthly for an update. Very poor customer service from VW in general for removing the new car order tracking facility for UK customers. I bet it works in Germany & other countries. More annoying is my friend ordered an Audi from DTD and the supplying dealer, Grimsby, email him every month without fail for updates. Plus they sent him an chart of specific timelines from when the car starts being built to shipping and arrival at dealership.

I emailed JCB Medway yesterday to request an update. Originally ordered last September, with build week of 12, then moved to 16 in December. Received an email this morning saying week 28, which is 11th to 17th July, estimated. I simply have to wait, which I will do. Currently driving a Skoda Fabia dsg 2017 110bhp which is satisfyingly quick, quiet and grown up, so very good for my daily ego deflation 😁The trouble is, even when I look at decent 7.5 R's on Autotrader, their prices are too close to what I'm paying for my new R. So happy to wait, specifically for the torque vectoring which is a key point for me 👍

Next June roughly I "hope" to be getting mine. Paid £37,016 at the beginning of October. Including DCC, HK, rear camera, voice control & winter pack front seats. Just waiting patiently which is fine, for me 👍

I ordered on 5th October. James @JCB updated me a couple of days ago, build week 16, so last week in April 2022. Meanwhile, enjoying sooooo much my new (interim car until Golf arrives) 2017 Skoda Fabia 1.0 tsi 110, what a nice pleasurable car to drive & so nippy too! 😊
