    For me it was a toss up between the Night Blue and White, the blue was the first to come up for sale with the correct spec/ price and travel distance. Glad I got the Night Blue though, really nice when polished up in the Devonian sun! Are you getting a Tornado Red?

    Good evening VWROC, Having recently taken ownership of my beloved G7R DSG I already have the urge to make this completely stock (if you can call a 300bhp Golf stock) Golf into something I can call my own. I have a couple ideas of what I'd like to start with but would love to hear from the guys and gals in the know and learn from your experiences, good and bad! Below I will list a few potential mods I have thought of and you all can add your opinions! - TripleRCompsites Lip Kit (Good looking Kit, even better looking price!) - S2T Paddle Shifter extensions (Pricey, read great things about them though. Great review and install thread by @Booth11. Let's hope this group buy request comes through!) - Noise... I'd love the car to sound a little louder and angrier? (Does that sound immature?) so far I've had a quick look at the Powervalve Downpipe and Cat that @nige bcs suggested to another user on another thread. Would this be enough? -Lows, a decent set of coilovers to drop the car just enough to make it just as functional but coupled with the TripleRComposites Lip Kit a lot more aggressive. -Try me! I love getting inspiration from looking at other like-minded individuals cars! Suggest things! Horsepower wise the end goal is to have the car running a safe and healthy 400bhp... ish. This is a goal for the life of the car but I'm more focused on the above ideas but if you have any advice on this long term goal, throw it in the comments! Many thanks in advance! Grey

    Exactly! I think the long term plan is a safe 400bhp, won't be for many moons though! Still enjoying the car as is! It's a 2015 plate car with 12k miles so I guess it's plenty run in thus far, I managed to get a good 100-150 miles into the journey before I gave in the the allure of Race mode!! 😈

    Oh. My. God. Picked up the car today and made the 4-5 hour journey from Leicester down to Dartmouth. The Golf R has already blown me away! Was playing with a few gizmos and buttons whilst cruising on the motorway and found myself being revved at by a white Fiesta ST with some kind of Mountune package fitted (yellow plaque spotted). I ignored him the first few time as he revved, floored it, slowed down then flooring it again until I decided to stretch the Golfs legs. I slipped it into Race, DSG was in sport etc and when he slowed down again I booted it. Two things happened, the ST was made to look like a Morris Minor as it shot backwards in my mirrors, secondly I was caught so off guard by the double downshift that I nearly swallowed my bloody tongue whilst holding onto the steering wheel for dear life! Wow! I found myself giggling like a little girl at the what had Just happened! I love this bloody Golf R! One thing I have noticed though, compared to my 750mile per tank Honda Accord Type S I just traded in, the Golf doesn't quite get as many MPG haha I expected this though! 😉
