18" original Bergamo wheels work well for me on the 8.5R for the winter. Also looks classy in silver, and hides dirt well during winter time. I hit a massive pothole this winter. Tire left the chat, but the wheel survived.

Hello there (c) I’m looking to replace my factory Bridgestone S005 (235/35 R19) on the 8.5R. My main goal is to get more steering weight and a more "connected" feel at center, as the stock setup feels a bit light (also because of S005 🥵) I'm planning to upsize to 245/35 R19 (most likely Bridgestone Potenza Sport). A few questions for those who made the switch: 1. Did the 245 width noticeably increase the mechanical steering effort/weight? 2. Any rubbing issues on stock 19" Estoril wheels (ET50) at full lock or under compression? I believe there shouldn't be any, but I'd like to double check. 3. Does the car feel more "planted" at high speeds, or did it become too prone to tramlining? Cheers!

Yes, those are an additional option in the configurator. 18" Bergamo wheels. Looks classy on the 8.5R. Also a good match with silver side windows. For the summer, I have 19" diamond cut Estorils

I wanted to try something different at this point after GTI, and damn—the R drives so differently from the GTI. I couldn’t say which one is better to drive; both are great 😄 FAMILY

The place where it truly comes alive — among mountain serpentines ⛰️🏞️ I truly love Golfs, and before this one I had an MK8 GTI. A huge 50 years legacy, and I’m happy to be part of it with the top of the lineup. This car is pure emotion, fun, and a constant smile on your face 🙂 Long live Golf ❤️💙

VZ5 again.. 🙄 so why not Golf R with 5 cyl then in 2027 ?
