What difference did the bushes on your LCAs make and what did the front ARB do? I've heard they introduce a bit of understeer did you find that? Be interested to see how you go with the full mount upgrade I've been thinking about getting the revo engine and trans mounts. I have their torque mount sitting here but have the insert in already so may wait till/if I get the rest done as I've heard it can put pressure on the factory mounts on its own. Bit worried about NVH, don't mind a bit but don't want my fillings shook out every time I drive.

Handling wet conditions is probably our first priority in the UK especially us in the northern reaches lol When I first bought the car it had Toyo's on it they were terrible I swerved every bump and pothole because it was like hitting a brick wall. I honestly thought it was the car I was starting to think of selling it again it was that bad but when I put the Contis on I realised it was the tyres. Night and day difference. I also like the ridge that protects the alloys I wish I'd had them on from the start as I kerbed mine the first day I had it. First time I've done that in years but I just look at it as breaking it in π Don't understand people cheaping out and putting mid range tyres on these cars. Probably falling for the "all tyres are made from the same rubber" nonsense some fitters come out with. Fella before me only had it 9 months I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason he sold it. Nothing like pottering down a street at 10 mph with vans up your arse beeping at you simply out of fear of getting whiplash from a tiny hole in the road. Couldn't be good for the suspension when the tyres aren't soaking up any of the impact either. Good lesson to learn on the importance of good tyres tho.

That's good to know, when I was researching it was hard to find anybody who had them on long enough to get an idea how long the tread lasted. People complaining about the short life span of the previous Contis nearly put me off. Have to say there's plenty of tread left on the 7s after around 5k. Also didn't perform as well as the others on aquaplaning on the tests but I've had no bother so far hitting some big puddles. The deciding factor for me was the price, 15% off meant I got them for Β£76 each. Not that I'm a cheapskate but it's nice to get a wee saving and I knew I'd still be getting quality tyres so why not. Still I can't help wondering what the PS4S's are like so probably will go for them next time I'm sure I'll not be unhappy with them.

I've only done the foot on the accelerator for 30 secs while ignition is on thing not sure if I'd want to do this. Can't see it doing anything as the Map will be hard coded in the ECU but better safe than sorry I suppose.

Will doing this affect a remapped TCU?

I was torn between the PS4S and sport contact 7s but after seeing the Contis outperform them and the bridge stones in nearly every test I went for them. Very happy with them they're far better than the mid range tyres that were on it that were making every wee pothole feel like driving into a kerb. I find them very comfortable on bumpy roads. Was considering trying the PS4S's when the Contis need replaced. Would you say the Michelin's were better in the wet? That's a deciding factor for me as I live in Northern Ireland and it pretty much rains here all year round. Not all bad tho it's funny leaving M4s etc spinning their wheels in my rear view mirror lol

Is it when you put your foot down a wee bit between around 10-25mph or is it always there?

Nice surprise for you then. Sterling couldn't find me a quote after I listed mods. Girl I was speaking to was pretty clueless about them too. I was planning on trying Greenlight and a couple of others but seriously doubt they could've beat the quote I got. Yet my mate is getting quoted ridiculous prices for an A3 TDI. Car insurance is a strange thing these days I don't understand the differing quotes people I know are getting it seems like a lottery. -

Just to update I ended up going with Adrian Flux and can't recommend them enough. So far been a good experience. Came in over Β£250 less than Admiral who gave me the best quote with mods and nearly Β£200 less than AXA for a standard car. Whole process was easy and no problem with my modified car form. Friendly, knowledgeable advisors too, it was nice to not hear a sigh and umms and aahs once you mention modifications lol I'm stage 2 with 11 mods and can add any as long as they don't increase power for free. To beat every price by a good margin even quotes for a standard vehicle was very surprising. The option to be able to drive other cars fully comp for Β£24 was a nice addition. -
How important are the upgraded end links? I just got the Whiteline rear ARB fitted forgot to even ask what setting he put it on. Mechanic didn't say anything about there being a problem with the end links but will they eventually give way and need replacing with the extra strain they're being put under?

No worries at all mate can be a bit daunting and confusing researching it all lol Looks like they've reduced that by Β£35 it's a good price. Go for it. One thing I don't know is how much time it takes to put on as I had other things done too. Think it says two hour install iirc. One thing I just noticed is there is a wee bit of vibration through the steering wheel at idle that I didn't feel because I've a cover on it. I had to put my hands on the middle of the wheel to feel it. Has me thinking I'd probably be complaining about it if I was sitting in traffic with my hands on the bare steering. Obviously that's from the insert. No negatives from the RSB so far. I'd recommend a D shape cover for the steering wheel too it makes it so much lighter. I set my steering to dynamic permanently via obdeleven and it's so easy to turn the wheel still. Before I got it race mode used to pull the arms out of me after a while but even now it's still a hell of a lot lighter than even eco was before. You can turn my wheel full lock with two fingers. Good luck with the modding I hope you don't fall down the same rabbit hole I did my cars been constantly molested since I got it the poor thing π
