  1. You may be thinking of www.apexwheels.com. I was chatting with their sales about 17"s that work with the MK8+. 17x9" ET42 VS-5RS were recommended.
  2. If you are referring to this video, I completely agree. That showed a whole new perspective on the car.
  3. The PS4S are the best tires I've ever owned by far. I went to the A/S version in my 7.5 and noticed very much. But it was nice not having to worry about cold temperatures around the winter boundary.
  4. Random thought. The power to weight ratio is already so good on the 8.5, I am thinking tires & bracing/suspension are where the biggest gains come from. I was going to prioritize PS4s and and rear sway bar and am wondering what others think on that.
  5. I can't say for sure, but it may be worth a call to confirm. I was surprised how many 18s do not fit the 8.5r PP with the larger front brakes / calipers and my 17s from my 7.5 r are not even close.
  6. Thanks for sharing your experiences here, I would be interested in hearing how it goes. I have a number of faults in my 8.5 rn.
  7. Would also be curious if folks have done this and have a preferred paint that worked well and held up over time.
  8. Good info, thank you. I am keeping an open mind about the EV mk9 and am really interested to see how that looks as we get closer to the date.
  9. been reading about these and seeing people are really happy with both. thanks for the recommendation
  10. I was thinking I might just get a caliper paint kit but realize that I may be signing up for a fair bit of labor to do that properly.

    Chipex

Similar experience here although with a different touch up kit. I feel there is a real art and craft to touchups and I clearly don't have that skill. Maybe with practice, but next time I would just work with a paint technician if it was noticeable. Things like black rims are more up my alley to touch up.
  12. The 7.5 was a really stable setup for me. 8.5, not so much. Have Audis run into similar issues with newer models?
  13. I think about changing up the calipers a lot. It seems a bit overkill for a new BE but I think it would add a lot.
  14. and @jamesbond7 or @Booth11, were any of these errors showing up in the dash or just through obdeleven scans? Curious if this issue sorted itself out for James.
  15. How hard was this to do? I was thinking of starting with a fender/HK sub swap as I have heard that will make a noticeable difference and is very easy.
  16. is it loud enough that you can post an audio recording?
  17. There was the Rivian collaboration announcement in recent months. Were there any details on which models fall under that? www.rivian.com/newsroom/article/rivian-and-volkswagen-group-announce-the-launch-of-their-joint-venture
  18. seems inevitable that it will as more cars move to ev although I was surprised to read about the end of decade timeline
  19. None of the faults persist on the dash, they are all intermittent? Thanks for sharing your experiences here.
  20. echoing what others said, that is an excellent color choice 👍

    Hi, I'm

Nice choice! Any early thoughts on the car?
  22. going from the GTI to the R I also went from MT and AT at the same time and it took me a while to re-calibrate on 'fun factor'. The R almost seemed to be too effortless. I don't feel that way now, and drive with the paddle shifters 95% of the time to feel more engaged with the car, but maybe that is just a sign I miss my MT.
  23. nice to meet you, and excellent color choice. I do notice a much rougher ride with my 19s, even with comfort-mode dcc so you may want to think about road conditions around town and if that's a good tradeoff. I have 17s for winter and the difference in comfort is significant.
