This is the brand new 76.0mm Golf R Mk7/7.5 Downpipe from BCS Powervalve... Following on from the demand for ultimate flow we have developed this with clients looking at up to 600 bhp in mind. Featuring the oversized 100 cell cat with an open area equivalent to an 93.0mm open pipe and the brand new 76.0mm 'Softflex' specifically developed with flow in mind having a genuine 76.0mm I.D. unlike previous 76.0mm flexis which only offer a 69,0mm I.D. To further compliment the downpipe both the catted and cat delete pipes will now be supplied with the 1200 degree titanium thermal wrap to enhance power further, and the 200 cell lambda mini cat. Hello, I am interested in doing the above modification to my Golf R. I have recently fitted a forge intake with TT inlet pipe. I would like any feedback from people who have fitted the Scorpion Sports Cat to a standard system regarding performance, noise (normal driving and hard use) and also if there is any drone? Can this be fitted without a remap? The remap will be in the pipeline but if I am going to get engine warning lights I will wait to fit it when I get the map done. If I have the sports cat fitted with the intake mods I have done and MRC custom map to engine and DSG will the car be happy for fast road use without an intercooler upgrade as I assume it will be close to 400bhp? My insurance has decided they are now happy for me to change the sports cat but not the intercooler. Or would I be better to save the cash and just get the map with the current mods? I know many of us ask similar questions but would appreciate assistance as I am planning on keeping the car for some time. Kind regards,
