Hi, Owned my manual Golf R now for 3 years, absolutely loving it! I currently have the Cadiz wheels and they are now in pretty bad shape with corrosion so I am looking at getting new wheels as I have never been a massive fan. I really like the Pretoria wheels but it is hard to find images of silver golf r's with silver Pretoria wheels, which are by far my favourite when seen on other golf r's. So I was wondering if anyone on here owns a silver golf with silver wheels or if you have seen any? Many Thanks

Hi, having recently scored (literally) another own goal on my silver Pretoria alloys, I was thinking about having a go at tidying up the rims a bit myself to see how good a job I could do before calling in a professional. Having tried without success to get an answer from my VW dealer, I was wondering if anyone has found a good colour match for the wheels? So far, the damage is fairly localised around the rim on a couple of the wheels, but once you know its there . . . . I'm hoping there is a good match, maybe from Nissan, Ford etc if not VW, that I might be able to get a touch-up or rattle can from Halfords or somewhere to do the job. Any suggestions?

Initially kicking off with the handover pic for posterity, as I’m sure it won’t stay this clean and shiny for too long.

So... I finally got the nod on Tuesday this week, to go and collect her. Wow... what a car. This is my first R, but not my first golf. Although the less said about the Mk3 8v GTI the better. Anyway... Finally managed to tear myself out of the driving seat today and give her a quick wash for some quick snaps. Probably a bit of a marmite colour, not everyone's gonna love it... but I do.

Right then. 2 Weeks after picking it up I'm ready to give the new Golf a thourough detail. No editing or arty pics here I'm afraid, just an old point and shoot camera! Here it is: First job, wheels. Generally mucky, Golf R front brakes are VERY dusty! Wheels were jetwashed, soaked in 1:10 solution of AF Imperial, and agitated with a range of brushes. Despite the wheels being off the car, the EZ brush was necessary to reach the groove that sits behind the spokes. Rinsed off Doused in CarPro Iron-X
