  1. Hi, I bought mine a couple of years ago with das welt auto warranty, and had the engine and turbo replaced when the engine ate the turbo! So I'd say it's a pretty comprehensive cover, fairly sure its provided by VW as well. One thing though- thought you get 2 years, not 1 with das welt? Dan
  2. Oh, and nice M3 by the way, its one of the cars on my 'potential replacement' list!
  3. Excellent, I'll keep my peepers peeled for the for sale thread. 👍
  4. Thanks for the tips everyone- the tags seem a good idea for the unavoidable tolls. I may avoid a few by taking the scenic route... I say that now, but we'll see how much patience the little'n has for the road trip!! Thanks again Dan
  5. Hi All, just wondered if anyone has any experience of driving to the south of France, i.e. Calais to the Cote D'Azur/Nice... Are there any regulations I need to be aware of, or any known areas with.. ahem.. less than scrupulous members of the Police Nationale that'll impose on the spot fines for whatever they make up? I'll be travelling with my wife and two year old son, so will have to try and find the fine balance between the fastest route and the funnest route! Or any other tips really... Cheers Dan
  6. Thought I'd posted this ages ago, before the huge conversation that takes place above my post! Oops!
  7. I think the general consensus is.. don't use it! Kill it with fire! You're likely to upset Rebecca by the way. Don't go asking about sponges will you!!
  8. I like it, it'd be a boring world were we all the same, maybe not the wheels though, but that seems to be the general consensus even with waggman! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 4 words for you bud. Parent. and. child. spaces!!!!!!!!!!!! Yessssssssss! And also congrats on your little'n. My boy's coming up to two, and as cliché as it sounds, feels like he was born last week- time does fly!
  10. 8 hour arm workout on the daily! lol! (If you're not sure what I mean- google Rich Piana- the completely 'natural' ( ) bodybuilder!)
  11. I reckon a jb1 (or 4!) plus turbo technics pipe, plus an r600 intake would prove a popular package. I'd be interested for sure, probably more so when the jb4 lands, truth be told. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The above Up! saga made me laugh, when I should be working- getting accusatory looks from the boss! I had a good run with a convertible S5 last night, over 1/2 a mile or so I found I'd edged just ahead before the 2 lanes converged! WINNER! Slowed to give him a thumbs up before he turned off... he wouldn't even look at me!! A serious case of hurt pride!
  13. Got to say I agree to some extent with you on the beemers, I've always found them lacking that certain 'something' when you're driving them- that said, I've not had the pleasure of driving anything from the proper 'M' class- just the '35's. And they're not a bad couple of suggestions for a follow up to Shortys mean machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks, and yeah- I agree, I think even carefully used the heat build up would warp the wrap, but that point for me is moot- I'm still building up the confidence to use a machine polisher on paint, let alone vinyl!!
  15. Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience of detailing a wrapped vehicle? We've just bought a white Evoque for the Mrs, and I'm thinking a black roof (maybe bonnet as well) would look nice, I'm just a little unsure on how I'd care for the wrapped components. I've read that you can polish the wrap, and I've also read that under no circumstances should you ever polish a wrap, just use a wax. Also, if anyone has any experience or recommendations of a wrapping company near Huddersfield, please let me know. Cheers Dan
