  1. Not too badly, estimated delivery was 9/9 and actually collected 30/9, no where near as bad a wait as some others. They also replaced a tyre on my GTI that had a slice to the cord for free as it was after my original collection date. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Think I did quite well, full tank of fuel, VW bootliner, bottle of champagne, two VW key rings and £100 in John Lewis vouchers. Could not complain at that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The dealer was Lancaster VW, St Albans. Very much looking forward to my day off next week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just thought I would share my experience of my wait for my R. Although my order was only delayed by a month I was pretty happy with the service I received. Order process was simple gave the sales chap criteria I wanted to buy the car and he obliged. Waiting for the delayed build was frustrating but realistically (can say now I have the car) was not a dealership issue and I was kept reasonably up to date as and when they had the info, but did find VW chat useful as my text/email updates never worked. My ex current car had a couple of issues during my wait, a cracked thermostat housing, fixed by dealers under warranty and I had it serviced a couple of weeks later where a cut in a tyre was found down to the cord, I was given a courtesy car and tyre replaced free of charge as it was now past my original delivery date. Had good notice to go in and sign docs and collection went smoothly. Even had a boot liner, champagne, full tank of petrol and John Lewis voucher thrown in for good measure. Overall pleased with my experience and hope others have a good experience. Now just to drive the car after collecting yesterday, but unfortunately at work all weekend!! 5. You will beat me to it by a couple of hours. Hope it all goes well [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Collection day tomorrow. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Asked today. Taxed for a year and a week. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Fair point, but I am at work all weekend, not sure I can wait til my next day off the end of next week......excited! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Car on way to dealers now. They keep phoning me as they want me to collect sept and not October. Fine by me if they are keen to stay late Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I had the same. Signed up twice and got the confirmation email and still no text updates. Just a little frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think you are very right about the competence of the team changing /working on the car. We all assume they are all good at everything but realistically they may only ever change a handful of seat covers in their career so may be looking at the instructions throughout. Possibly like asking your GP to do your brain surgery.... Although you would hope they get some upholstery training at some point....the mechanic that is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's very frustrating never seeing the tracker change. Mine sat at the docks for about 15 days before finding its way into a ship. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Fingers crossed. Live chat chap went on to say 10-14 days from now for pickup. Starting to think it may arrive after all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Quick live chat session revealed this Thanks for waiting. Your vehicle is at the UK port. I hope this helps. [emoji106][emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I have tended to just use live chat 20 mins and you have some sort of answer. Dealer tends to play phone ping pong with messages left and they never want to email!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
