Rear tyres only 2 month old with loads of tread left

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Tried my first launch this morning on a dry road with brand new front tyres and all I got was loads of wheel spin and smoke from what felt like the front wheels. Does this sound like faulty Haldex or could it be that the revs were to high at 4000rpm. Car is covered under private warranty but could do without the hassle to be honest.

Had this for a week and got to say I think they are a fantastic motor. Spec is full leather, nav, prets and dsg with 20,000 miles on the clock. I was originally searching for a blue one but when this reflex silver came up for sale not to far from me I couldn’t resist taking a closer look. So glad I did, absolutely love it and don’t see many in this colour wearing the R badge. Really enjoying driving again after not liking my S3 8V manual one bit. Looks like a good forum and have already spent ages picking up loads of great hints and tips.
