Literally just fitted 19" Prets to mine, replacing the 18" factory Cadiz and I keep thinking exactly the same thing. Checked the pressures a few time and they're all sat just right so I assume it's just the low profile

Stealth mode activated [emoji41] I can’t act too cool though, day one week one I kerbed the near side front and put a split in the tyre wall resulting in a brand new eagle assy 5 being written off and the wheel needing a refurb [emoji2961] All sorted now though, handles like a dream in comparison to the potenzas. The noise it makes with the res delete and full R600 setup is great! Much beefier. Ride quality on the racing line springs is OK, doesn’t seem massively different to standard when driving normally but if you’re unfortunate enough to hit a pothole (or kerb in my case [emoji102]) it’s definitely more crashy. It’s sat much nicer now though with the wider prets too - front is flush although the photo doesn’t look like it, rears need slightly spacing which I’ll be sorting shortly. Thanks mate. I’ve had it for a year now, just haven’t posted as if I’m honest I found the R very quick but pretty clinical in comparison to my M135i (which was knicked sadly). Whilst the R is definitely more usable all around, there was something about the 6 pot turbo RWD that did something for me - but I couldn’t justify buying another as that particular variant of car was tainted... As a result I’ve spent the last 12 months considering all sorts whilst just running the golf, then I came to the realisation that for what I want from a car I’d have to spend significantly more to buy what I wanted out the box (M3/RS4) than what I’d spend modding this... I fitted the JB4 back in Jan which did transform it to be fair, so now for a bit more noise and some better aesthetics! Fingers crossed when it’s all fitted that will scratch the itch, but I’m sure that won’t last for long... especially being on this forum [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And so it begins... CMWheels 19” Prets turned up, same day Goodyear eagle f1 assy 5’s all round with custom black/grey centre badges... One thing that annoys me is how grey the tyre looks against the black [emoji23] some good tyre shine will be needed. It’s in on Wednesday at awesome for racingline springs, res delete and full R600 with elbow and hose. Hi all, Apologies if this is a repeated thread, I’ve tried to search but no joy sadly. I’m interested in a Maxton rear spoiler extension, I’ve got a 7 and the only option I can see is the one with the cutaway in the middle - the variant I would prefer would be the straight style but this is stated as 7.5 only. It’s my understanding (although I could be wrong [emoji28]) that the 7 and 7.5 share a tailgate and spoiler setup? If this is right can anyone confirm if the 7.5 variant Maxton spoilers will fit a 7 or not? Be good to see some pics if anyone has done it. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just changed mine to the Philips, put headlights on, put it in reverse, static with indicators on, forward turning (with and without indicators) and they're now not lighting? I even put the original ones back in and they now dont light but they definitely worked before... Am I doing something stupid? Do they not illuminate in the day with auto headlights? Thanks

Thanks Dave, Mine are 8J ET45 so I think slightly more aggressive than standard - I'll see how it sits once the springs are installed and can order some up if necessary. I can only seem to find hubcentric in 11mm+ though?

That is sat so well, gorgeous R - I've just gone for the racingline springs (being fitted 24th) and this has confirmed to me it's just the drop I'm after. My wheels I've ordered are CMWheels 19" Prets but 8J not 8.5J - anyone have an idea if I'll need spacers for them to sit flush like this? and if so what mm? Thanks

So to revive an old post - I took the plunge and ordered the CMWheels Black 19" prets, having them fitted along with the racingline lowering springs and a res delete in a couple of weeks time - toying with the R600 whilst I'm there but can't stretch to the hose and elbow at the same time...
